I'm pretty sure Trump thought this far ahead - so consider the effect of Trump's properties on the "war on terror" when Trump = POTUS:
Trump has properties all over the world. Terrorists will have a long list of targets that are literally owned by POTUS and bear his name.

In the coming four years, pretty sure terrorists will try to attack some Trump property or another. It will be great for Trump, here's why:

You may think that Trump will be afraid of what terrorism would do for business - clients won't stay at a hotel that may be bombed, but -

But Trump will take that and turn it around. Staying at a Trump hotel = belief in America. Solidarity against terrorism. Patriotic.
