So let me get this straight, you don't want to pay child support, have no job, and wish to steal your neighbor's land to sell it? You are either a troll or a terrible person. Do not do that. Get a legal income, pay the support, don't steal your neighbor's land.

I don't think that I should be paying this cause the kid doesn't even live with me but what can I do

That is why you need to pay support. If the child lived with you then you then you would be paying to support them directly.

You can get a survey done and see what land is whose. You can't just claim someone else's land in a case like this. If you sell lumber or anything else then you report that as income and that increase in income will cause you to pay a higher amount of support. You also cannot just make a one time payment and be done with support. Gifting the land to your son will also not help since you owe the support to his mother not him.

Let me Get YOU Straight.

This should be a fun thread.

That isn't going to work. You have to pay child support, but you cannot pay it in a lump sum in advance or in a gift of land. I suggest sitting down with an attorney to have him/her explain to you what to expect with CS going forward, how it works, how to get readjusted, etc. so that you understand better for your future.

Adverse possession almost never works, but otherwise, you could potentially sell or rent out part of your land and put that in an account for child support. That would work. But child support must be paid in regular installments in US currency. It cannot be paid in land, supplies, or via bartering.

Don't try to over complicate it or get around it. They've seen all the tricks. Just pay the amount ordered by the court in a reasonable manner and have it adjusted when/if appropriate.

I am not a lawyer but you seem to be under many incorrect assumptions about the law and your responsibilities under it. I would recommend deleting any posts regarding this and getting an actual attorney before you dig yourself a very costly hole.
