A Call to the Reddit Administrators & Management to Remove r/TheDonald Subreddit

The Reddit Community is a proud, caring and diverse group of people from all over the world. We take pride in our commitment to that community which promotes an honest dialogue about all the issues facing the world today. But the Reddit community is being hijacked by the subreddit r/TheDonald (and it's subsidiaries) a group that continues to demean, ridicule, and attack anyone who disagrees with their totalitarian-like ideals and conspiracy theories. There are too many examples of moderators and users from this subreddit banning anyone who doesn't completely support Donald Trump. Subscribers of this subreddit will verbally attack and threaten other users, and even attack the management of the Reddit team calling the CEO, Steve Huffman, a "pedophile", which is a violation of the Reddit rules and slander. 

The Reddit Community encouraged a spirited debate about the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, but that election is over and yet we are continually spammed with hate speech from the users and moderators loyal to this subreddit. 

It is for these reasons, and many more that we are calling upon the administrators, senior management team, and the CEO of Reddit, Steve Huffman, to stand up to their harassment and hijacking of Reddit by removing their subreddit and any others like it.  WE ARE NOT A COMMUNITY OF HATE. 

The Reddit Community is strong, compassionate, kind-hearted and intelligent. We are not defined, nor do we support the rhetoric of TheDonald subreddit or its subsidiaries. We ask for the support of the Reddit Admins and Management, and anyone who is ready to move on from the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.
