A More In-Depth Look at Our Possible New Method
For those interested in a more complete discussion of the proposed method and how it would actually work, here ya go. The reason this method is great is that it maintains the benefits of the Electoral College, yet still makes every vote count. Presently, voters in states such as Texas and California feel ignored because their state is likely to go full red or blue respectively. Their vote won't change that. But under the splitting method, every vote could count. This is possibly one of the best ways to increase voter turnout that has been proposed yet.
