I've seen a few posts that allude to me as being the "leader" of /r/AI. So I wanted to clear up the misconception. As you likely know, AI is a Pan-Asian sub with a motley crew of East Asians, South Asians, and others. While this sub is equally meant for all, we do have a large number of E. Asian members. Therefore it only makes sense that the head mods reflect that; two are E. Asian and one is S. Asian. Among the broader mod team, we represent the full spectrum.
So to reiterate, I do not "run Asian Identity". I do try to post here often enough to have an influence on the community's take on the major issues or at least offer my POV. As it is, no one person runs AI unilaterally and it will continue to be team decision-making.
We may be making some changes; a few people pointed out that our logo was too E-Asian centric. So we may be considering alternatives. If you have suggestions, send it to the Mod team or contact one directly. If you have an idea of someone who might round out the mod team or be a good person in that role, let the mod team know as the mod team may be widening.
