Upvoted for logic, writing style, use of paragraphs and non-trail sentences but mostly because the line

people who can't get what they want always try to find something to blame

is too true and Sajuukx is just doing a favour for the community. If you don't want to follow those prices, then go do your own prices - and good luck lol. Quit complaining.

Thanks for the support! Hopefully my post will be helpful to the community and clear up some confusion.

Solid post, and lots of good points. i'd just like to clear another thing which people seem to have problem understanding:

Market Value of an item is based on supply/demand, everyone agrees.

Whether the supple/demand values arise naturally, or artificially (through horders), is irrelevant to the marketvalue of the item.

Example: Let's say the demand for the heatwave and the GT are identical. Heat costs 30 and Gt costs 3 (natural supply/demand). Heat has less supply here obviously. Now someone decides to hoard up on All the GT's. Basically what happens is, both the GT and Heatwave have the same demand, but now they also have the same supply. Both items stabilize on a price of 30.

when this happens, Sajuukx is completely justified (and i'd argue that he's even obligated) in adjusting his priceguide, and putting both the heatwave and the GT at a price of 30.

This is not manipulation by sajuukx. The opposite would be manipulation, if he kept GT on a price of 3, while having the heatwave at 30, when they have identical supply/demand.

the fact that sajuukx knows the heatwave's supply/demand is natural, and the GT's supply/demand is artificial, is irrelevant.

EVEN IF sajuukx was the one hoarding up items, you could argue that it's wrong of him to hoard, but you could never logically argue that it's wrong of him to adjust the priceguide to reflect the new demand/supply after someone hoards items, even if he does it.

This response is too accurate... and unfortunately it's probably always going to be this way. I don't believe that trading is going to get any easier without a set value for each item. FeelsBadMan D:

Thanks - hopefully CC4 shakes it up a bit.

Great post, I agree completely. Bonus fact: the desiring of expensive items that you were talking about is called the Veblen effect.

well said, the fact people are blaming this guy for raising the price on an entire platform is silly.

everyone chose to follow his guide, if you dont like those prices or agree with them then okay; post your own offer and best of luck. that guy never got his crimsons for 35 keys for a reason.

The breakout has a bad hitbox? There are basically only 4 cars used in RLCS play: the octane, the dominus, the batmobile and, you guessed it, the breakout. Jacob just gone done winning the NA regional championships in a breakout s.

Here's a quote from a PM where I was talking about painted lightning prices:

As for people getting upset about prices of painted lightnings I think they're just bitter about not taking the chance to buy them when they were cheaper. Not only do I absolutely believe they are worth the current prices if not more(cc2s are rarely opened as its the worst crate value-wise to open, and most new painted lightnings are being obtained through import trade ups, therefore limiting supply. With the addition of newer crates with "cooler/same coolness" wheels it will make even less sense to open cc2s and the supply will be limited almost entirely to what already exists). If this game persists for another 2-3 years, regardless if painted lightnings are the "coolest" looking wheel or not, these are likely be some of the rarest wheels in the game and could easily go for a few hundred bucks a pop. Anyways just my 2 cents.
