Something is strange about this sunset. I saw a similar one yesterday colour scheme and cloud cover wise over 4000 miles away. (youtu.be)

I feel like I'm going crazy. But I was 4000 miles away from a sunset near identical to this..with a very clear source of two lights (one very red) behind constant cloud cover...I am 100% unsettled right now

How do you see something 4000 miles away? The horizon if you're at sea level is only 11 miles away before it disappears.

Different day..similar colour schemes,heavy weird clouds.. just unsettled me is all. I just was stating the location being far away and me seeing something I found eery in real life again on a video from a different country.

Was it sheen like in thin clouds? If so, I saw something like that just over a week ago.

yes. tha'ts exactly what it was. i thought there was grease on my window at first. no rain...just some scattered thin clouds and this odd puddle of a rainbow in the middle of it.

wtf was that? i ain't never seen no rainbow like that.

it was so odd i was going to take a picture of it, but i left my camera at home and then the light turned green.

What was odd about the one we saw was it lasted for over an hour. We were driving cross state, and it didn't go away till the sun was about to set.

I grew up in an area where we had a lot of rainbows and it wasn't like any I've seen before either. I'll look tonight to see if I have a shot of it.

This was taken..one minute ago. I simply typed in #sunset...all red, all cloudy. This is very similar to what I saw yesterday in terms of colour tones, two very different coloured light sources https://www.instagram.com/p/BNDTAqPj0kQ/

I unfortunately didn't take a video, just a picture. But the sun in my photo had "set" behind the horizon..yet to the left was a very different red source of light which also "set," but about 25 minutes later..

You might have been seeing Venus? Here's an interesting read about what planets are visible at what times during the month of November.

It says that Venus should take around 2-3 hours to finish setting after the sun does during this time of year though, so I don't know.

That's fine, I assumed most would skim but my feeling on it is still valid as I saw it with my own eyes. All I ask is that you look away from your phone or computer and actually look to your own skies. I've been looking up for years and I just feel..like something is wrong
