Guess what motherfucker, you're the President now. You get shit from all sides all the time, and so does everyone that works for you. You better get used to it, and quick.

This is what I don't get. Did these people think everyone would just bend the knee? They bitched about Obama for eight years. Now it's their turn.

I really, really, really want to find a way to start a protest movement to get Trump to release his taxes. Trump did the EXACT SAME THING against Obama with the birth certificate and I want him to have a taste of his own medicine. The only difference is, the tax returns actually have some merit...

But didn't you know? Black means he's from Africa and a Muslim!

And rich means he's dodging taxes.

When we see his tax return we'll tell you if you're right.

Him saying he's smart for not paying taxes in the debate does.

I want to start a protest movement soley about ridiculing Trump.

I fervently hope that the entertainment industry will mock Trump incessantly for the next 4 (+?) years. His whining about it makes it so much more amusing!

That has shown to be a great tools to challenge authoritarians grip on society. Humor and ridicule. Why make a stop with Trump though? You can have a laugh at him, the GOP including Pence, Gingrich, the new attorneys etc. Pretty much all of them are living in a bubble and act in ways that one wouldn't expect from people living in a democratic society which values those foundation.

He probably didn't pay taxes but it was probably legally... I just got home from a business conference and most of the people pay no taxes from write offs.. A lot of people aren't aware there are loopholes and write offs so he probably doesn't want it released because a bunch of idiots are going to think it was illegal..

I understand it was probably legal, except from what I read he claimed deductions on other people's money. He claimed deductions from the bank's losses, not his. Extremely illegal.

It's not the legality of it that concerns most people, it's the morality

Yes. Yes they fucking did and do. Living in Republican Texas, I get to overhear lots of conversations where people accuse everybody complaining about Trump as just whiners and Liberals who complain about everything.

I work on a military installation and listened to "that nigger President" for eight years. Sometimes you can't win.

Holy shit, that's their commander in chief tho.

To be fair, Obama did literally and personally invent racism, after all. It's not their fault.

... That makes me extremely sad and upset. Was this often? A common occurrence? Please don't tell me this was more than just a handful of deplorables, please.

The hell branch/job did you hear that often? I've not once heard that in the last 6 years.

Yeah, I'm not totally sure I believe that story, especially considering almost 20% of people in the US military are black.

Yeah that's why I'm curious. I'm Active duty AF and I've never heard anything near that disrespectful at work.

[–]yzlautumI don't want to fuck my daughter

Can 1000% confirm.

I'm really starting to believe he's a real world Joffrey at this point. The similarities are staggering.

I think he's closer to the mad king. Trump is the kind of guy to firebomb Washington D.C. because someone dropped his tendies.

I was thinking more like throwing a bitch fit like Joffrey did when a common man threw a cow pie at him.

Did these people think everyone would just bend the knee?

Yeah, that's actually what fascist aspire for.

Yeah, especially when over half of the people who voted did so against you (popular vote, meaning). This wasn't a landslide by any means.

[–]joecb91I voted!

The man couldn't handle Alec Baldwin's impersonation of him. He is going to spend the next 4 years lashing out at everyone who teases him while most of our past presidents handled it with class.

What's he gonna do when people start putting up anti-Trump billboards everywhere, like they did with Obama? He's gonna have to employ someone full time just to demand apologies

ESPECIALLY from artists. Abe got shot in the theater, I think Pence can handle a polite request that he acknowledge that minorities and gay people have rights.

Until Bannon gets him to end democracy and concentrate all dissenters.

THIS is a very REAL threat. EXPECT constant attacks against the 1st Amendment. that 1 we cannot AFFORD to lose...

America looks like idiots right now. Our intelligence agencies are inept. Obama is ruining this country! Hillary is a crook!

But please don't make fun of my bff. It's rude.

everyone has a short memory it would seem. Even the trumpers I know are complaining about Hamilton and the 'riots'

Awww Mike Pence got his precious fee fees hurt cuz he didn't know people at broadway shows don't like bigots all that much.

Poor mike Pence and his poor poor fee fees.

Seriously, Mike Pence going to a Broadway show would be like Barack Obama getting front row seats at Monster Jam. It ain't your home turf.

People are saying... the best people, folks... people are saying Mike Pence is a yuge fan of musical theater. Just yesterday he was telling me about a play he saw called "Rent boys".

It makes sense, Pence is a gay man.

For sure, any guy that cares that much about gay sex is down for some.

Would he still only use the edge?

[–]Alejandro_Last_Name 93ポイント94ポイント  (5子コメント)

If you read the actor's remarks. They were quite positive towards Pence. This overreaction by trump is very concerning.

Having a dialogue is now harassment apparently, but I'm not surprised considering he thinks Obama telling an audience to respect a protester is him screaming at the protester

[–]Alejandro_Last_Name 31ポイント32ポイント  (2子コメント)

The man has a serious mental illness.

No, he has the best health! That can be easily explained, it was just him making fun of a disabled person. See, he's completely fit to run the nation!

Unfortunately this is typical Trump. He reads the first two words of something and then freaks out based upon that.

From what history has shown us, it never ends badly when the government tried to control art...

They should protest by buying more hamilton tickets under trump's name! Like how they're protesting starbucks

Talking about boycotting Hamilton is hilarious because it's fucking sold out for like a year from now.

Yeah, like the majority of the deplorables even heard of Hamilton before last night or would see a show with a cast composed of all people of color.

Lol right? Someone was telling me how the booing obviously ruined the whole evening for the families attending the show. Yeah, because I'm sure a lot of Trump supporters went to a hip hop musical with almost no white people that is all about how awesome immigrants are.

Everyone I've seen who was there has talked about how the booing and cast directing certain lyrics towards Pence only added to the experience. I'm sure it was cathartic for a lot of that audience to have their voices heard.

What lyrics were directed at Pence? I write as someone in love with the cast album.

Apparently Rory O'Malley (King George) directed a lot of lyrics at him, like "Do you know how hard it is to lead? / You’re on your own / Awesome. Wow / Do you have a clue what happens now? /When your people say they hate you / Don't come crawling back to me." They had to pause the song at parts because people were jeering so loudly.

Also, the "Immigrants - we get the job done" line got a standing ovation.

tbf the immigrants line has been getting a standing ovation for months now, as Trump's campaign ramped up the hateful rhetoric

That doesn't surprise me. I've seen the show many times and that line always gets huge, show-stopping applause.

Are you in the crew or media? Bc if not I call shenanigans.

Lol neither! I've seen it five times-- does that count as "many"? I saw it first off-Broadway, once in Broadway proper previews (the performance Obama was at actually), and three more times after that. It's been many months since the last time I saw it though.

/r/the_cuckold is claiming just that - basically all of them have been to see a Broadway musical this year and are saying nobody should go anymore.

Like any of those cucks can afford to see a Broadway musical. Their parents wouldn't trade their GBP for tickets

[–]TheNastyWomanI voted! 14

Oh they heard about it because their wives and kids love it. Suburban soccer republican moms around here can't get enough.

And I am sure those poor rural whites who have had it so hard according to the discourse were getting ready to travel to the nearest large city to see a historical hip hop musical.

The tickets would have to be available first. They're like $1000 each and sold out for a year.

The Trump Cup thing is dumb, essentially it's about asserting power over a service worker in order to humiliate them.

I don't understand the Trump Cup thing. They have to buy a drink (thus supporting Starbucks) to get the name on the cup. And, do people really care what name they write on the cup? Does Starbucks as long as someone is buying a drink? SMH

You think Trump supporters have the cognitive ability to think things through?

But, really? I feel like I am on candid camera with some of what's going on right now.

About as humiliating as white twinks saying their name is beyonce

[–]fauxkarenI voted!

And then hook me up with some of those tickets.

Are they doing that again? Please don't tell me they're doing that again.

If he cannot handle criticism from minorities on stage, how is he supposed to handle terrorism?

Anddd there you have it.

My (and other people's) fear is that during a tantrum he's going to start pushing big red buttons....

It's hilarious that the_dumbasses consider trump to be some sort of alpha when he's the most hypersensitive baby to any ounce of criticism

am telling you all, it IS his personal "Achilles Heel"... EXPLOIT IT !!!

He really tweeted that...wow.

First, I just saw a headline that Trump called for an apology and thought, "Ha, sounds like he's calling for a safe space!" Then I saw the actual wording of his Tweets and had to double-check that I hadn't stumbled upon a ClickHole article.

Interesting that so many of his supporters agree that the theatre should have been safe from criticism.

So to revcap, safe spaces where people keep their pie hole shut about not liking your race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, whatever, are bad. But a safe space where people keep their pie hole shut about the things you have chosen to do and continue to do, good.

Interesting how so many of these supporters prioritize a person's right to do racist or bigoted things without being called out over a person's right to feel unthreatened.

It's ideologues at their worst. How has America hit this point?

Yah, the cast was super rude. They very politely told Pence that they were anxious and that they hoped that he would work for all Americans. So super rude!

Somebody get this man a cup of warm milk, a pacifier and a safe space STAT!

Hypocrisy is not adequate enough of a word anymore. We need something more serious, something more powerful.

So presidential!!

I bet Lincoln would agree with some of what he's saying.

I'm sure Lincoln would totally agree that this is the worst thing to happen to someone in a theater...

Is this what the presidency has been reduced to? Petty whining on Twitter? America is so fucked.

There's that fucking nausea again.

I see references to nausea in response to Trump announcements and developments. I feel this a lot, right in the gut. Is this common?

I used it as motivation to set up a monthly donation to the ACLU.

They'll need it. Trump thinks he's face litigations already? He has no idea what people actually dedicated to The Constitution can do. He is going to be ever so fucked up in court.

i haven't seen it mentioned on reddit, but for me, anxiety often manifests as nausea. There are common physiological reactions to stress/anxiety and some people get nauseous. If you do too, try ginger. It won't eliminate the anxiety but it can help with the nausea.

I definitely apologize that I couldn't be there to boo Mike Pence and see Hamilton. That sounds like the perfect night.

[–]fauxkarenI voted!

Right??? Getting to see Hamilton AND getting to heckle Actual Human Garbage Mike Pence? That's the stuff dreams are made of.

This is what the cast of Hamilton said to Pence. Pretty damn peaceful if you ask me.

"Vice President-elect Pence, welcome. Thank you for joining us at Hamilton - An American Musical. We, sir, are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values, and work on behalf of ALL of us," Dixon said.

The next four years are going to be an ongoing battle to protect our 1st Amendment freedoms. We've repeatedly seen how President Donnie reacts to criticism: He lashes out, he threatens revenge, he files lawsuits, all in the hopes of intimidating his critics into silence. If you don't believe me, take a moment and do a Google search for "Donald Trump sues" and you'll find that he's no stranger to filing defamation suits against newspapers, authors, public speakers, even private citizens, for the sole reason that they said something that caused him offense. Indeed many of these suits were threatened simply because the writer or speaker shared an opinion that President Donnie didn't like.

Two years ago Donald had few recourses at this disposal: Twitter, op eds, and the threat of a lawsuit. Today he has the office of the White House, a receptive Congress, a conservative Supreme Court, and an army of alt-right minions at his command.

I'll say this as bluntly as possible: Donald Trump does not like freedom of speech when it is used against him, and for the first time in his life he's in a position to genuinely do something about it.

Today Donald Trump went after Hamilton on Twitter, for years he's gone after unflattering opinions in the courts, but what happens a year from now when he's fully acclimated to the power of the Presidency?

People talk about "What's the worst that could happen?" Some cite Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate agreement, others his threat to pull out of NATO, the rolling back of the Affordable Care Act rates quite highly for me, but none of these matter if we don't have a free and protected press to inform us. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, is the first amendment for a reason, it's what allows us to keep an eye on our nation and our government; the press is the American people's independent oversight for how our country is functioning. A President who threatens the first amendment threatens the whole of the country.

I'm not being hyperbolic, if ever there was a President who would pass a "Don't say mean things" law it's this one.

If you're as concerned as I am about our first amendment rights, please consider donating to the ACLU, or buying a subscription to one of the newspapers that Donald Trump has directly threatened, such as the New York times or the Washington Post.

this WILL become our biggest fight. he has at least TWENTY THREE separate times promised that he will SEVERELY RESTRICT the 1st Amendment including a nearly 20 minute tirade against the Press and Media, all to thunderous applause from his supporters who apparently do not love nor respect the very Constitution the pretend to "uphold". if the fools had heard him even mistakenly say "severely restrict the 2cnd Amen..." he would have been bum rushed and lynched but mutilating the 1st is apparently "okay" with them. put it this way the Founding Fathers argued over just about everything while drafting the Constitution, wording, placement, checks and balances, offices, ect, ect ad nauseum. the 1 single thing that almost all universally AGREED upon was the "...Guarantee of a Free and Unfettered Press..." was the UTMOST important and that it would literally be placed FIRST for a very VALID reason. once it was defeated the rest of the Amendments mean nothing. this is our "line in the sand"... if necessary personally will defend it with blood and more.

The difference is, he can say all the demeaning things he wants. The New York Times published a list of the people he insulted on Twitter and the insults. It filled two whole newspaper pages in small print. He's the typical person that feels freedom of speech only applies to people who agree with him. Same with religious freedom, only if it's the same religion as mine.

I really wish the MRA/PUA language would diaf already.

LOL!

I get what you're saying, too, and the whole "cuck" thing grosses me out, too. OTOH, this sub is meant to poke fun at that particular oddball tribe. I'm wondering if there's a way to make fun of them without bringing up cuckolding.

[–]TheNastyWomanI voted! 7

I know. I was serious about wanting to see the language stop but I'm a hypocrite and used it below for comedic effect. The struggle is real.

Maybe Trumps a cuck

He actually is. His second wife Marla Maples had an affair with the bodyguard that he hired to protect her.

Can you explain, what language you are talking about, or is this a non sequitor

I can't believe the president of the united states is going on to twitter to complain like a little bitch.

But this shows you that when he is in the white house he is going to use every opportunity to bully his opponents. Waiting for the day when he walks around with a camera, reality show white house. Every time a congressman disagrees he'll go to his office, why are you disagreeing pussy!! With a camera on the congressman's face! Live TV.

cannot wait for him to hear a Senator or Representative to say something he does not want to hear, look at him and instinctively say "Youre Fired !" am going to be joining everyone else rolling on the floor, spilling my popcorn. forgive me if laugh hysterically for 20 minutes or so when he gets told " Uh, President Trump (God, that sounds SO nasty !), this isn't your tv show..". you need to ""deal" with this, right NOW !!!"

Imagine how much whining there is going to be in the next four years. "My lover Putin was so mean to me today, SAD!"

I can't wait until he tweets next something like "The VERY low rated Hamilton is just terrible. They can't even sell tickets. SAD!"

Lol, that's sounds so accurate

Folks over at the_cheetobenito are already trying to badmouth Hamilton, saying that they refused to hire white actors, that it's cringey 90's style rap, that it's revisionist history, and so on.

They're really going the extra mile to alienate themselves from ordinary people.

I might need some more evidence that there's anything good about that man

Holy shit. My mom came into my room to bring me a DVD of Hamilton and chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I’m so distressed right now I don’t know what to do. I didn’t mean to do that to my mom but I’m literally in shock from the harassment tonight. I feel like I’m going to explode. Why the fucking fuck are they harassing Mike Pence? This can’t be happening. I’m having a fucking breakdown. I don’t want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want Hamilton to be a safe space for all people like me. I cannot fucking deal with this right now. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, I thought watching cucked liberals singing about immigrants would be so much fun. This is so fucked.

He actually tweeted that Pence was harassed at the play.

All we need is a GoFundMe to pay for Pence's PTSD and he'll have gone full crazy SJW.

The_donald is one of the largest safe spaces on the internet, period, with how quickly they shit down conversation and dissent. Funny, that.

What a fucking asshole.

LMAO I came on to this subreddit to post about this, but it seems as though you guys beat me to it. You guys are amazing.

I love how the actor was nothing but courteous and respectful and yet orange trigglyweave still managed to interpret it as "harassment".

This is the god-EMPORER of the "kek triggered PC libcuck?" crowd.

How was what they did rude? The cast told everyone not to boo, and addressed him specifically as a VIP guest. I get that being addressed in public can be embarrassing, but the MF is the Vice President-Elect and has been in the public eye for quite some time.

Yes because the man who caused an AIDS outbreak is a very good man.

Weird, a room full of theater nerds would be less than welcoming to someone who thinks you can electrocute the gay out of teenagers. Now all of a sudden the Republicans need a "safe place".

Aw, where was all this sensitivity when he said horrible things about women, black and brown people and Muslims???

Divisive Republican president gets harassed by actor. It could be worse.

Boooooooo.

There's my apology cuck-elect.

Careful. He might sue for defamatory remarks.

Why doesn't he heed his own advice and apologize to all the minorities in this country? Hypocritical much?

Good men don't say the things Mike Pence says about people who he has never met just because they are gay.

Something something Abraham Lincoln.

Apologize to Abe Lincoln!

Seriously. This guy Trump is a cuck. So not based.

Trump should go see it. Presidents have a great history going to the theater.

Oh please he clearly said safe "place" not safe "space" it's totally different.

So different. Yugely, bigly different.

Lmao. What a little bitch. What did anti-gay Pence expect going to a BROADWAY show with a gay lead. Of course no one is gonna like you there, dumbass. Suck it up, it's not like you're being electrocuted.

Donald Trump is LITERALLY (and I am actually using that word correctly) the biggest hypocrite I've seen. Makes his entire movement revolve around "telling it like it is" and being "anti-politically correct" but now wants safe spaces and to be free from criticism. Unbelievable.

I mean they treated him better than Lincoln was treated in theaters

as CEO of his businesses the "godless-emperor for LIFE" wanna-be was notorious for surrounding himself with only "yes" men. anyone who even in the businesses interests said anything unwelcome immediately heard "Youre fired !" this has cost him DEARLY many times but he has grown so "used" to it that it is 2cnd nature to him. well, folks, WATCH him become President (failing a miracle) and just FALL the Hell apart under a constant barrage of 1/4th the sheer HATRED President Obama had to endure and maybe even burst into TEARS on national TV... it is his "Achilles Heel"! he can enthusiastically SHOVEL it out, but he simply cannot "take it" at ALL...this is going to be FUN !!!

Has anyone told trump about Lincoln ?

Yes. Let's drop to their level. That's the answer.

I just realized this guy is going to get the @POTUS account.
