A sitcom about three philosophy/theology students sharing an apartment and studying in the university set in Wuttenberg during the Reformation. Big Bang Theory in Lutheran key. Jokes about Aristotelian metaphysics and the finer points of early Modern Christianity and the political situation of 16th Century Germany, portrayals of Luther and Fredrick of Saxony and other important figures as funnily normal people, and a plot about the absurdity of war and politics and the division they breed among people and dear friends. Title: The QED Crowd.

I must try to look out some Scottish badhistory to post here. It's just I can't really think of many Scotland-specific historical delusions. Maybe the fringe nationalists who think we're a colony, but they're almost irrelevant so it feels like cheating.

Also: This pisses me off. I don't understand why Wehraboos feel the need to put a bunch of Wehrmacht propaganda stock footage and "dedicated to muh clean Wehrmacht" over an anti-war song.

Found an excellent new YouTube channel: the EMGColonel, a guy who plays lots of historical gramophone records and generally purveys gramophone-related stuff. Good because you can hear some great historical music you wouldn't otherwise hear online. For example, this recording of the 19th-century hymn "From Greenland's Icy Mountains", written by Reginald Heber, Bishop of Calcutta, which drips with Anglican "civilising" zeal.

From Greenland's icy mountains,
From India's coral strand,
Where Afric's sunny fountains
Roll down their golden sand;
From many an ancient river,
From many a palmy plain,
They call us to deliver
Their land from error's chain.

What though the spicy breezes,
Blow soft from Ceylon's isle,
Though evr'y prospect pleases,
And only man is vile;
Although with lavish kindness,
The gifts of God are strown,
The heathen in his blindness,
Bows down to wood and stone.

I think they were trying to suggest something about the duality of man, sir. The Jungian thing.

Because glorious Wehrmacht would never had fought if it was not for Judeo-Bolshevik aggression through continued existence.
