Ive just gone for a stroll in the local park on this fine autumn weekend. I have a couple of interactions both with men that I wanted to note and make a comment around politeness and social etiquette.

1. An older retired guy 60+ (minimum) said hello and wished me good morning.

2. There was a puddle and I stopped to let another man pass with hes girlfriend. The women completely ignored the gesture, however the guy dipped he's head and gave a head nod, in which I reply.

This head nod is something that I notice happens all the time between guys. However I have NEVER had a women do it.... Why is this?
