That's nice and all but it's not worthy of its own post. Would be best suited to the daily discussion thread.

  • Political Endorsements

Who supports who doesn't really matter at all unless they make a song about it.

Vague announcements

  • Rapper is working with other rapper

Unless they are stated to be featuring on an upcoming project, it isn't important. We don't need to hear about two rappers being spotted on instagram in the studio together.

  • Someone listens to unreleased music from rapper and calls it good

They're not saying much here so it would also best be suited for the Daily Discussion.

Any other kind of rumors or gossips will be removed at our discretion

Any way to reduce the 15 item artist vs artist comparisons in the DD? Nobody discusses their whys, and it just becomes 100 responses that nobody but the commenter reads. Pollutes the DDs.

They're never interesting, the comparisons are often completely random and they don't encourage discussion, just a bunch of lists as responses... I don't see any point to them. Maybe if others start posting good 1-on-1 comparisons with some thought behind them the others will stop.

You're thinking of banning something but you don't think it's important whether people like it or not? i'd say that's a fairly crucial factor in this argument.

And I'm not saying his reviews are high quality but considering most of the comments on his videos are positive and don't even get posted here that often I don't really see the need to ban them. It's one post every couple months, just scroll past it.

If we're really worried about the front page being cluttered with low quality posts maybe we should start with the same Young Thug, Travis Scott, etc. songs being reposted monthly.

I'm sure that 1 video every couple months will fuck up the entire front page. I would be backing you if his videos were posted here often but they're so infrequent that it makes no sense. And maybe you don't give a shit about his opinion but other people might. He doesn't straight break down the album like other reviewers but he gives his opinion after each track and at the end of the album. Just cause he dances to the music doesn't make the rest of the video irrelevant

Pull quotes as titles aren't editorialized. A lot of times, the most interesting part of an interview is buried - especially when they're from amateur hip hop journalists who don't know what's newsworthy.

Look at the original Earl headline: SPIN 2015 Exit Interviews: Earl Sweatshirt.

They can be. Often pull quotes in titles are taken out of context, or grossly misrepresent what the article is about. And like we note, they often discourage people from reading the article and leads to some shitty/uniformed discussion where people don't read the article and only respond to the quote. It is totally fine to post "Earl Interview with Spin: Discusses thoughts on new album, Eminem and Odd Future".

For how much people hate clickbait titles in this sub, those type of the thread titles are basically the HHH form of clickbait.

We aren't gonna sit back and watch every single 45 minute interview to see if the quote is accurate or not, it's easier just to post a link with the name of the interviewee and the interviewer, and where the interview was conducted if it matters. Ie. "Earl Sweatshirt interview at SXSW" instead of "Earl Sweatshirt's talks 5 favorite pasta dishes at SXSW".

Most interviews are unremarkable because the subjects say the same things over and over. A good interview might have one or two new pieces of information. Only hardcore fans will watch a 45-minute interview.

the more restrictions you guys put on content the more this sub will become less awesome. i understand the mods really hate memes or whatever but sometimes you need to just let the sub be itself and not be the fun police. for example i think most people prefer the style of moderation in /r/nba to r/nfl. you guys dont seem to like to hear from the users who have dissenting opinions tho so do you i guess.

we got special days and sunday generals for people being loose. we want this to be a more serious sub. not exactly askhistorians but not full trash talk general either. dissenting opinions are fine as long as their 1) dont go against all of that 2) are possible . often ideas are not accomplishable for various reasons (mainly the way the users are).
