I've never used Grubhub before, guess my cuck radar naturally kept me away

Tbh I had never even heard of it before this.

WELL IT'S DEAD NOW

Aw shucks, I was just getting ready to not use them :(

Who else can I boycott? I have a lot of no money I can spend on them.

Pepsico.

Pepsi owns a lot of retail names like Lays, Doritos, Cheetos, Mountain Dew, Cheetos, and Fritos. Just remember that when you go shopping next time.

Doritos ;(

I know the feel. Every now and then I forget to pack my lunch for work and I get stuff from the wheel of death and something to snack on. I always go for the lays or for the dorito's. Now I need to be extra vigilant!

You have not adequately mentioned Cheetos.

ISIS

Not sure if you understand how the Financial Markets work or not, but it's not DEAD. If anything this is an incentive to buy if $GRUB's value is undervalued, which it is for people who work in Finance and frankly the only thing they care about is money. $GRUB's main problem it faces in the future is that it faces so much competition growing around it. People can use Delivery.com, Eat24, or DoorDash for insistence. But even with all this competition and politics aside $GRUB is looking to increase by 30% next year so if anything it's a good time to buy the stock if you want to make money. As far as the Financials go $GRUB shares are up 62% this year and are expected to be higher by the end of this quarter by $138 million or so which would essentially drive the stock back up. So if you truly wanted to hit $GRUB where it hurts, don't use their company. But I assure you at least 50 percent of the country doesn't care which company delivers their food from their favorite place. And $GRUB has access to most restaurants in the country that deliver.

Nice try, Mr. Grubhub.

Or you can just look up the Financials on $GRUB and take a moment of your time to study their Financial Reports from the past year. Then look at their competition. It's not that hard to use due diligence on this matter. I suggest reading some articles about investing, finance, and stocks. Money walks and bullshit talks. Just follow the money in other words not the actual twitter posts. The best advice I could ever give you.

A better way to hurt them would be to buy now while it's low, wait until it's high, and then everyone sell at once.

Or collectively get the 50 percent that voted for Trump to Short it. Jk It wouldn't work anyway. All the broker companies would eventually block people from Shorting and or there would a Trading Halt. And eventually, it would so undervalued people would BUY BUY BUY.

$GRUB's decline was from a below-expectations earnings report on Oct 26th, not the CEO's email about Trump on the 9th.

Why exactly would the markets punish the CEO for this statement? If he was in an industry with a lot of regulatory risk, maybe. But I'd guess the effect of the CEO's politics on $GRUB's actual performance is close to nil.

It's a food delivery service. I'm lazy so I used to use it a lot. Now I use delivery.com.

Delivery.com was great anyways. No reason to support GrubHub.

This is an easy boycott and sends a strong message. I'm glad it worked.

you should contact them as well to tell them of your disapproval with their actions. Rub it in

It was actually very convenient. I moved to a new city and it helped a lot. After mr butthurts comments I deleted what personal info I could and deleted the app. I feel bad for the non-cuck employees who may be out of a job because their CEO is a bitch

It always sucks when people get caught in the maelstrom unnecessarily :-/ Hopefully the non-cucked ones can land on their feet.

Non-cucks will be able to pick themselves up and move on. The cucks can sit on unemployment for a while I guess

What does it do? It seems like a middle man between the customer and restaurants. Like instead of just calling a place or going online to order you use this app to do it. I'm kinda confused.

Basically, it is just that. It's just a convenience factor. You get to browse the menu, order food, and have it delivered without having to talk to someone on the phone.

I enjoy these types of services, because I don't have to save menus from around the area. Going to use eat24 from now on. (Same concept)

another huuuuuge huuuuuge benefit, is that you can tip through the app without having to look for cash to tip the delivery guy

I used it last night for the first time! Can't believe this - ftfgrubhub never using it again

Downloaded the app and used it once, it's really pointless. MAYBE if you're drunk and it's 2 am you can find an open pizza place but other than that there's no point. Not to mention you can circumvent that issue entirely if you keep a frozen pie in your fridge at all times. Cheaper and quicker.

Who would have thought alienating 60 million plus people is bad for business?

Not to mention restaurant guys, yikes! Grub Hub is huge up in the NE like Jersey, Philly area. Every restaurant on south street has it. It's very easy to forget that you may live in a blue area and all your friends may be liberals, but restaurant guys and small business people in general almost always vote republican. When you own your own business tax laws are life and death.

Most of them are people who work hard and pay taxes too. Some call those customers.

When their quarterly report came out on October 25th, profits were up but their subscriber growth was not increasing as fast as their profits.

That means they were simply earning more per subscriber (which is not a sustainable growth model). Their stock tanked because they were not getting a lot of new subscribers (despite higher than expected gains).

Why Is This Important?

Because the key to bringing them down is their subscribers. Because they are now getting a ton of one star reviews on their app (due to Trump supporter backlash), their subscribers will not grow. This will be the nail in their coffin.

Keep up the good work.

Didn't the CEO make his Trump statement on 11/9, after the election? The big drop off on that chart is before that. Plus, the y-axis is straight out of the book How to Lie with Statistics (a great read, btw), so that's also misleading.

I mean, screw Grubhub's CEO and all, but let's not look like idiots in the process.

Yeah, it was after the election and the major loss is prior. Hopefully as time goes on it'll keep dropping at that rate.

[–]Deplorable_RedcoatENG 33ポイント34ポイント  (8子コメント)

https://twitter.com/M3aloney/status/780566465808302080

I have gotten 8 businesses to cancel and switch to another delivery service using this tweet and his ridiculous email to his employees.

Cancelling personal accounts is great--but that loses them maybe 1 or 2 fees per week. If you can get at least 1 business to switch to someone else, on the other hand, they lose 100+ fees a DAY. And since they charge restaurants 13% or so, it really adds up.

SO EVEN IF YOU DON'T BELONG--JOIN IN. Get just ONE restaurant to ditch them--then buy a meal and leave a 5 star review on the FOOD ONLY (no mention of grubhub or boycott) on Yelp to help the business out.

And even better see if you can get local restaurants to dump Pepsi, too. The national chains won't, but locals may.

This bot was created by devious1087, feedback always welcome.

Thanks for the coat--I need a virtual warehouse to hold them all LOL. But seriously--find out which eateries in your area, if any, use grubhub and see if you can get even ONE to switch--because we can kill this business fast that way. They have a lot of competition--they can't afford to lose their real money.

Wait so after the email he continued to talk shit on Twitter? Why hasn't he been fired yet?

I've tried GrubHub a few times, but even with how many deals they offered, other services like SkipTheDishes or even DeliverMeFood were just better.

Pedes I need this to go even lower. My PUT options expire and I want to make a massive amount of money off this duckweed.

Yeah, partly selfish, but also because I want to make this story go viral that I made X off this dumbass. Would be so great to have them see a bunch of money go a pede at the detriment of one of their lames.

And if course I'd have to donate some to Trump's campaign to rub it in even more. Lol!

Man...it's almost like an economic boycott actually works. I remember talking to my libtard friends back with the Chik-fil-a/gay marriage thing happened. I'll never forget seeing gay people who themselves "protested" show the fuck back up and buy chik-fil-a. Yea they stopped "donating to anti-gay groups", but no one was let go and nothing happened to anyone involved...basically now they just donate privately instead of through the company. Point being, if you stand around and protest, yet STILL CONSUME A BUSINESSES PRODUCT then YOU are the biggest asshole. I myself disagreed with Chik-fil-a's stance, and since that day, I have not ate Chik-fil-a, but that's MY PERSONAL CHOICE. To be fair though, I have also not shopped at Target since they let dudes shit in the womens bathroom. Honestly, my personal feeling is that smart businessmen don't mingle in politics while running their business (trump is the exception because he's left his company for all intents and purposes, just to help save the country). When Liberals protest, they still go the fuck around and support those businesses they protest, when conservatives protest, we crash their stocks.

Hate to rain on everybody's parade but if you look at the big picture, it paints a very different story. The drop after the Trump Tweet is barely a blip, and part of a downward trend after the summer surge. When will people learn that you can't see stock trends in snapshots of short periods? You can only see how a company's doing over a significant amount of time, or when their stock makes dramatic, uncharacteristic changes. A jump of a couple of dollars one way or the other isn't dramatic.

Regardless of what people want to believe, the value will bounce up and down until it matches the demand and the profits of the company. The boycott effect will not be seen for a long time. It will be a gradual decline unless they can appeal to many more people in the near future.
