I think he was forced to rewrite the narrative to downplay and kill the strong male characters at the expense of strong female characters and create an overarching theme that would benefit the macro global attempts of the occult female force that is trying to neuter masculinity.

I have a theory :)

The planet we live on is not actually flat, but maybe 10 times the mass we are told is it. We are under a dome in a small portion of the actual planet.

So maybe technically the part we live on is flat, but only because the surface area is so large...

There is more land outside the dome.
