So i'll start by saying im not a very popular guy, i never was, i got bullied in school a fair bit, my group of friends has never gone past 3 people(never girls) and i've been ignored by women my entire life. I would say i hold a bitter regard towards women but its more againts people in general. Either way i've been feeling quite negative towards women recently because im reaching my 20's , you know my sexual peak, and meanwhile i've never even kissed a girl before let alone have a girlfriend and its been laying heavy on my back. SO...i decided to visit the MGTOW forums in hopes of getting some mild comfort, a pat on the shoulder or something that would make me feel a bit better. Wich it did but not in the way i thought it would. You see there is a dense layer of irony to everything that is said in these forums wich im surprised the astute members of this community haven't seen. So i'll start with what is less likely to cause third degree butthurt. This is a bit hard to explain but basically they characterise womens likes to what they personaly identify as. They as women are attracted to the man that got away, like you are doing, that they like alphas, like many of the guys in this reddit and many other forums identify themselves as etc.While they are going their own way they do in a sense want to seem to stress that they are infact attractive to women and women want them. Thats the basic gist. Lastly is how many paralels to feminism can be drawn. Feminism blame the patriachy, MGTOW blame gynocentrism, its not womens fault its mens fault for opressing them, its not mens fault its womens fault fo putting our balls in a vice. Women are systematically opressed, the system is rigged againts men ( although there is quite a bit of validity to that.) really just switch up a few terms and its the same rhetoric. I got quite a few good laughs, especially when it comes to some of the ''intellectual'' comments i've seen people make.If i get banned from here or my post got deleted that would trully be the ultimate irony. Now i want to end ths by saying, im sure some of you here were like me, people who just wanted some mild comfort for getting the short end of the stick their whole life. I can understand that, but this...this is just another extreme, an extreme that while yes it points out very valid issue (something i can't really say for feminism) they also hyperbolize and their solutions are simply another face of the same problem. I will probably still follow this subreddit though simply because its done wonders to uplift my mood, so in that sense i also have to thank this subreddit and community.
