Honestly I think we all can do a better job at respecting other people's right to freedom of speech and right to protest. It's in the very first amendment of our great constitution that we are allowed to do this, and we should respect when others excercise that right.

Right now, Republicans and Trump supporters are the ones showing a complete lack of respect towards people using that right, and the example in this picture is the most obvious one. Republicans lost their fucking minds when one guy just sat down during the pledge. It was ridiculous.

But I remember not long ago I had a friend who was trying to hold a peaceful protest of the laws regarding the age of consent, which he believed to be unconstitutional. He and a few friends made signs and protested, and do you know what happened?

Liberals and republicans alike gave them a ton of shit for it. They got death threats for excercising their first amendment right. One of them got punched in the face and had to file a police report.

So that's why I say we all can do a better job respecting others' practicing their first amendment right.
