Why are single men regarded so negatively? (self.MGTOW)

It seems that if you're not married or at the very least in a LTR by your early 30s at the latest people assume you're either a closet gay or extremely socially inept to the point you could never initiate and cope with a relationship.

Men being single is never seen as a positive thing, most people seem to assume that there must be some underlying negative reason for it.

In fact I think the very reason so many men rush into marriages and LTR is because they are conscious of the way in which society typically views single men and want to avoid the negative stereotypes.

They're not - UGLY men, poor men, or men who have resources they will not share with women - that is what women will be very negative about.

Doesn't matter if you're single or not. If you are not single but still are ugly, poor or not sharing your resources with the woman, other women will still get angry at you just like if you were single and the same other conditions.

To women single men who aren't attractive are seen as losers regardless if they choose to be single or not. Women are herd creatures and a man with a woman has already been vetted. A man without a woman is like he has poor credit. What a disgusting creep and loser...

To women single men who are clearly attractive but choose to be single are seen as rebels. Men who won't stay on the plantation. Why won't he just settle down?! Think of it as some of the freed slaves who owned land and businesses in the 1700s and 1800s. Must have been enraging for the average whites to see these people who were supposed to be slaves but were walking around free doing what they wish. What an insult!

Here in Germany, it's also a cultural thing. LTRs are seen as a sign of virtue. Even the Chaddiest Chads are usually in LTRs instead of short-term flings.
