It seems that if you're not married or at the very least in a LTR by your early 30s at the latest people assume you're either a closet gay or extremely socially inept to the point you could never initiate and cope with a relationship.
Men being single is never seen as a positive thing, most people seem to assume that there must be some underlying negative reason for it.
In fact I think the very reason so many men rush into marriages and LTR is because they are conscious of the way in which society typically views single men and want to avoid the negative stereotypes.
