Trump won the electoral college, but Clinton won the popular vote. While the election results send a global message that the American mainstream is fearful and hateful of non-white, non-Christian, non-American citizens, most of us DO NOT feel this way.

Most of us love our brothers and sisters in the Muslim world. We embrace with passion the beautiful and powerful people, culture, and nation of Mexico. We welcome immigrants and refugees from all corners of the globe. We passionately defend the rights of homosexuals, people of color, women, and those who seek to build a better life in the United States.

Most of us feel sick and guilt-ridden in the wake of Trump's victory, and want everyone in the world to know that he DOES NOT represent our values. He represents only the terrified and selfish amongst us--the racist, the scared, the antiemetic, the white nationalists, and other factions disrespectful of people unlike themselves. These people are the minority in the US, but they shout the loudest.

Please do not let this loud minority of Americans taint your understanding of Americans in general, although I understand why it would. Know that most of us feel as though our country has been hijacked by a fringe movement, and that the actual character of the United States is not represented by the president elect.

America is not a nation of hatred and fear. Yes, it contains these elements, and the concentrated energy of these elements led to the election of a violent, hate-filled monster, but this monster does not represent me or anyone I know well. We love the global community, and love America's ability to provide refuge for victims of persecution. The next 4 years may not reflect this love, but it exists widely and will continue to endure until a president that reflect our compassionate values is elected to the office of president.

I am sorry. I feel great guilt as an American, I am implicated in this disaster. We all are. And many of us will strive to salvage the best parts of our nation as a greedy autocrat tries to delete the civil rights gained during the past century. Most of us still value equality, pluralism, freedom of religion, anti-racism, anti-misogyny, and gay rights. Most of us look at you, whoever you are, with love.

Even amongst Trump voters, the majority of them are not racist or sexist. They simply refused to believe the mainstream media, because Trump had successfully convinced them that the media was run by lying establishment oligarchs. And now that Trump has won, their faith in the media has slipped to record lows, because nearly all the polls were wrong (Clinton still won the popular vote, but by a razor thin margin. Not the 2-4 point advantage we thought. State polls were mostly wrong.)

The media will not make much of a dent on public opinion anymore. Outmeme them! Do NOT wait for the pendulum to swing. It does not swing by itself. It swung towards the right because the rightwingers freaked out over Obama's election and did everything they could to flood the comments sections of various social media platforms with anti Obama memes and comments. They created a counterculture, while we were smugly and calmly analysing numbers and historical patterns. This is effective even amongst older voters, because the amount of Baby Boomers using Twitter and Facebook over the past couple of years have skyrocketed. The majority of older people use Facebook now, about 56%. Yet, we must keep it simple to appeal to both young and old, uneducated and educated.

The age of the Internet has changed all of this. New variables have been created. Vectors of communication that influence a wide range of undecided voters, voters which are factors that the polls overlooked or underestimated. Even MINORITY VOTERS gave Trump a bigger push than Romney (although turnout was down).

If you look all over the Internet, anti semitism, nationalism, anti-feminism and sexism are making a huge comeback. That is because memes and comments with some facts taken out of context and mostly lies are propagating like viruses, allowing themselves to stew and multiply inside the thoughts of young, impressionable minds, and then being released.

So here is your mission and mine: we fight back. We adapt to their strategy, and we use all facts and no lies to counteract every youtube comment, every facebook post. Not only balance, but tip the scale in our favor. After we have stamped out bigotry and sexism, we will not rest. We will tackle corruption, poverty, starvation, lack of sex education, rape, murder, child exploitation, etc etc etc. There will always be an issue that requires our vigilance.

Ask your professor to help you. Contact a college professor and ask him to cite evidence that racism and sexism is factually lacking and completely devoid of rationale. Tell them to give you statistics, numbers to use as weapons. You can find experts on Reddit's various science boards.

They think of themselves as centipedes or Nazi frogs, but really they are hosts for the virus of fascism. There exists the virophage, a type of virus that infects other viruses. We will infect with truth those infected with lies, and we will crush violence and hatred with logic and legal self-defense. Conservatives won because they spread their germs to us. We cannot exist within our own echo chambers from now on. We take the fight to them, and each Conservative is a host ripe for infection.

The other side is doing it out of fear, out of hate, out of irrational instinct, out of greed, out of the interests of Russia or China's governments. Some are doing it out of a love for their people, with misguided motives. We are doing this for all people, for the end of injustice, for the end of lies, for the end of suffering and pain. That is our ultimate goal. Our goal is to literally save and change this world. You are the real champions. "You are the real MVP." The unsung heroes who are fighting every step of the way against those who have sold out their souls for greed, and against those who have bought them. It is time for us to unite. As a minority, I oppose any anti white male sentiment that I have seen on this subreddit, and any feelings of anger towards. While I do recognize that privilege exists, scapegoating a demographic is their modus operandi, not ours. Thank you all, blacks, whites, males, females, transgenders, and truth seekers of all colors and creeds for taking your time and energy and devoting it to help others, to bring relief to the hopeless and desperate. Thank you all, for shining a beacon of light in these terrifying, hopeless times. Worse times have existed, and humanity prevailed. We will prevail, at all costs.
