Reddit - who in the past have had no problem banning subreddits which it deemed unsavory - allowed the various Trump subs to spout hatred, lies, and propaganda all over the front page for months. The fact that they did nothing to stop it makes them complicit in helping Trump's victory, as these subs gave a massive platform to the voices of some terrible people.

Without Reddit, these voices would've been relegated to typical underground hate-speech sites, instead of being featured on one of the most popular sites on the web.

I don't know their reasoning for giving such a safe harbor to these people. It's obviously not in the interest of free speech, as they regularly lock, delete, or ban for much less.

I regard the Reddit admins who allowed the Trump subs to flourish here accomplices in his election, to the detriment of the US and the world at large.
