The problem with Memphis' Free Kicks (self.reddevils)

After watching his "highlight" reel from his time at PSV and then seeing the free kicks from Cristiano from Mata's instagram and then further highlights of his time at United, the difference is night and day. You couldn't stop them! Nowadays we don't have a lot of those time of accurate shooters on our team. Memphis' just trickle in and have aim but no power. Just a random thought this Thursday.

He did early on- he and Rooney split free kick duties during Memphis' early spell but did crap all

It's simply another aspect of defences, and keepers, generally being quite poor in the Eredivisie. There he could put it on target and play the numbers game, here that's not possible.

Put him back in a Dutch team and he'd do great, probably same goes for Spain other than against the top teams there. The other 3 big leagues not so much.

He's still young enough to learn to play against so many defensive teams and to add his own defensive portion of his game. I hope he stays long enough to see whether he can or not.

He has scored 5 goals for United - including two goals in 3 appearances in the Europa last season. Easy on the exaggerations, friend.
