I agree that some of Our players lack the right mentality, but the same Things were said about the Liverpool players before Klopp came. They were considered a joke, but look at them now. Same Things were also said of the Chelsea players during last season and at the start of this season (before they played us).

At the end of the day People have to stop using this mentality thing as an excuse. It's the manager's job to motivate and instill confidence and belief into Our players.

Agreed but there's a but of an argument to be made for what we already have:

Ibra is the most obvious one. I would argue that Valencia (and to an extent Herrera- sans the assertive side) is in that category to an extent and the influence of the likes of Rooney and Carrick is also a contributor. It's a question of disseminating that mentality to our younger players: in Pogba, Rashford, Lingard, Tuanzebe and TFM I see the ability to be moulded that way - to a lesser extent I see martial, shaw (adaptable) and (even lesser) Memphis (if you channel his ego correctly). It's a question of coaching just as much as it is acquisitions - and while Griezmann is undoubtedly a flair player the fact that he's well acquitted at Atletico tells us that he can most certainly play a supporting role when it comes to these attributes. It would be nice to see a combative, authortiative midfield personality (a la vidal for this day and age)
