Aghanim's Scepter is an item purchasable at the Main Shop, under Caster. However, it requires an item from the Secret Shop to be completed. For some heroes, Aghanim's Scepter increases the powers of their abilities.

Additional information

• The following heroes cannot drop or sell Aghanim's Scepter once they have purchased it, due to the nature of the upgrades they get from wielding it:
  • Earth Spirit​, Lifestealer​, Meepo​, Morphling​, Nyx Assassin​, Ogre Magi​, Timbersaw​, Treant Protector​ and Tusk​.
• One Aghanim's Scepter grants a total of 375 health, 0.3 health regeneration, 1.43 armor, 10 attack speed, 295 mana, 0.4 mana regeneration, 0.625% spell damage and 10 attack damage.

Notes:

• When a hero has an upgrade available, the item's and the upgraded spell's tooltip states what exactly is upgraded.

• When a hero has no upgrades available, the ultimate ability gets a green note reading "This hero has no upgrade".

• Single target spells with Aghanim's Scepter upgrades that are reflected by Lotus Orb depend on whether the hero with the Echo Shell on has Aghanim's Scepter, not the original caster of the spell.

Trivia

• Aghanim's Scepter is named after Agahnim, one of the main villains in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
  • The risk of the infringement may explain why none of the voice responses includes the word 'Aghanim', and instead uses a character specific version.
• Rubick​ is the son of Aghanim. He also possesses an imitation of Aghanim's Scepter.
• Riki​ and Lion​ are the only heroes who do not have any Scepter responses (excluding Io​ and Phoenix​ who do not have a voice).
• None of the hero responses includes Aghanim's name when purchasing Aghanim's Scepter; they simply refer to it as the 'Scepter'.
  • Eul's name also shares the same treatment when heroes purchase Eul's Scepter of Divinity. Besides Jakiro​, no other hero refers to it as Eul's Scepter.
