A bit. I'm depressed that my country could vote such a person into the highest office. I didn't think things were so bad.

Now I'm just hoping for another W. Bush-ish administration with some kind of populist economic packages that don't only benefit the rich. Despite his bluster I doubt he's stupid or brave enough to get into some kind of military conflict, but I bet he'll turn a blind eye to whatever Putin wants to do.

Give us a week to decompress. All jokes aside this has been a terrible election season with a lot of ugliness. I just don't feel much like joking around, and I suspect many are in the same mindset.

Fair enough. But. This is the same america today as it was yesterday. And tomorrow. All that has changed is perhaps an awareness of how deeply many underestimated just how fed up people are with the status quo. If you only ascribe to Trump those qualities you dislike, then you diminish and ignore a lot of the reasons why people actually did vote for him. A lot of people. Even putting aside the fete that is the campaign he pulled off that broke essentially every rule of the game along the way, he managed to rally not just caricatures of angry rural racist rednecks, but people with genuine frustration with the system itself.

Are things that bad? Yes. And much worse. I feel like a lot of Dem voters have been under this trance whereby they've forgotten how much they actually hate Hillary too. Let's see where Trump takes this before people start talking about the dark days. That just sounds like what the Arcons would have said when Obama was elected. Screaming 'not my president'.

Now I'm just ranting.
