I never expected this subreddit to become the kind of thriving community it is. For several months after I created it, there were only a few posts a week and no kind of community that could be described.
Yes, media outlets are calling the race for Trump, and Clinton has conceded. We are facing the Presidency of the man we worked to stop. But this doesn't mean we should give up on our country and our concerns.
This subreddit will continue, and we will do our part to hold Trump accountable for any actions of policies he takes that harm this country or its people.
Voting and elections are the smallest part of a democracy. Being engaged in our communites, being active in organizing for change and progress, that's really what living in a free country is about. We will not allow Trump to change that, and we will not silence ourselves.
