I don't want to play devil's advocate here, but here in NJ the way our voting machines work is that to deselect a candidate, you have to click on their name again, and then you can pick again. We need to debunk all false positives, so that we can get the real cases of voter fraud out in the spotlight.

So if this happens to you centipedes, DON'T PANIC! Exhaust all possible options before calling over a poll official to help you!

              there is nothing wrong with that machine, the guy does not know how to use it. in order to deselect a candidate you need to press that candidate's name again, then you can pick someone else.

              this happened to me when i did a straight REP ticket but also wanted to select a couple of decent DEM people --- it lit up all the REP choices so i just had to deselect those couple of names by clicking on them. the guy in the video doesnt know what he's doing, or isnt even trying.

                            This happened to me in North Philly. I fixed it by pressing the box that said "201" under Trump's name instead of the names themselves. Pressing "straight Republican" also worked.

                              Which in itself is bad man-machine interface design. If you need something as simple as a button to cast your vote, put a colored disc to indicate there's something to interact with. Something that looks like a button, something the brain expects. Better, blue for Dems, red for Reps. Simple and clean.

                              That number in a square that's not even sticking out, is treated as information and dismissed, just like the text mentioning the candidates, not as something to interact with. The user is left guessing, which is bad.

                                      Take a look at projections right now. If you think there is a massive conspiracy involving 100's of millions of voters, government employees, and poll workers, then you VASTLY overestimate the intelligence of your fellow man. Also, by no means are democrats innocent in the political landscape, but its the GOP who has repeatedly engaged in voter suppression and fraud far more over the years.

                                      Trump's path to victory, at this point, while not impossible, is historically (incredibly) unlikely. He will have to clinch 4 swing states in order to win.

The button is the number in the bottom right hand corner. In this case he would have to hit the "201". I ran into the same issue this morning when voting but then realized I wasn't actually hitting the physical button.

                                            You have to re-select the main category on the left to re-enter the vote. Selecting the spot where the red light was flashing returns it to neutral, then you can select the correct candidate.

                                            So if it's locked in for Clinton, click on the left column where it says "President" to return the red light to that column, then click on Trump's name.

                                            I had to get one of the workers who begrudgingly showed me how to do it. It says it NOWHERE on the voting machine.

                                              PA voter here... same thing happened to me. I fixed it by pressing the incorrect selection, which un-highlights it. Then you are free to select a different candidate.

                                              This is bad UI, not fraud.

                                              guys it's important to point out fraud but the way this machine works is you have to press Clinton/Kaine again in order to deselect and allow you to pick Trump. It's to prevent accidentally changing candidates in one button push.

                                              So, I ran into the same issue in Philly. Wasn't voter fraud, maybe just the way the stupid thing works. As you see the person already selected Hillary (see all those red lights on the left?). To select someone else you have to click to the far left to basically "uncheck" Hillary (or whomever you voted for), then you can vote for whom you want.

                                              Numerous reports about voter fraud in my County. Supposedly a computer glitch was switching Trump votes to Hillary votes. Local media is attempting to play it off as a glitch, and I believe it was. They're supposed to switch to Hillary after they're submitted...

                                              Here in my Michigan Township they take our IDs then scan them into a computer.We are then given a paper ballot in a large folder.When we are done they rip off the stub put it in a box and then you insert your ballot into a machine which shows the total count of ballots entered.

                                              This is actually the intended behavior of voting machines. The voter initially selected Clinton. So to change his initial selection, he needs to unselect Clinton, and then select Trump.
