I don't want to play devil's advocate here, but here in NJ the way our voting machines work is that to deselect a candidate, you have to click on their name again, and then you can pick again. We need to debunk all false positives, so that we can get the real cases of voter fraud out in the spotlight.

So if this happens to you centipedes, DON'T PANIC! Exhaust all possible options before calling over a poll official to help you!

This is not a glitch. I voted this morning in Philadelphia, PA and the voter has to click the actual "button". The button is the number in the bottom right hand corner. In this case he would have to hit the "201". I ran into the same issue this morning when voting but then realized I wasn't actually hitting the physical button.

This happened to me in North Philly. I fixed it by pressing the box that said "201" under Trump's name instead of the names themselves. Pressing "straight Republican" also worked.

You need to deselect the one that's lit up in order to choose someone else. This is user error.

If you accidentally light the wrong choice, press the button again on that choice.

PA REPORTING IN. I KNOW THE FIX.

You have to re-select the main category on the left to re-enter the vote. Selecting the spot where the red light was flashing returns it to neutral, then you can select the correct candidate.

So if it's locked in for Clinton, click on the left column where it says "President" to return the red light to that column, then click on Trump's name.

I had to get one of the workers who begrudgingly showed me how to do it. It says it NOWHERE on the voting machine.

PA voter here... same thing happened to me. I fixed it by pressing the incorrect selection, which un-highlights it. Then you are free to select a different candidate.

This is bad UI, not fraud.

Although I suppose if people are unable to vote properly... the UI is so bad that it causes fraud.

So, I ran into the same issue in Philly. Wasn't voter fraud, maybe just the way the stupid thing works. As you see the person already selected Hillary (see all those red lights on the left?). To select someone else you have to click to the far left to basically "uncheck" Hillary (or whomever you voted for), then you can vote for whom you want.

Personally, I wouldn't like to vote like that.

Here in my Michigan Township they take our IDs then scan them into a computer.We are then given a paper ballot in a large folder.When we are done they rip off the stub put it in a box and then you insert your ballot into a machine which shows the total count of ballots entered.

This is actually the intended behavior of voting machines. The voter initially selected Clinton. So to change his initial selection, he needs to unselect Clinton, and then select Trump.
