Video of the hectic scene outside P.S. 59 showed spectators penned in by metal grates jeering and shouting at the Republican nominee, who waved at the dozens gathered outside the building.

The real estate mogul handily won the Empire State’s primary race, but he has little support in the deep blue city he calls home. Only 69,066 voters in New York City cast ballots for Trump in the Republican primary, while 586,017 voted for Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.
Trump appeared confident as he bypassed a line that stretched around the block to enter the polling site. He stopped to purchase a cupcake from a young boy, and told a CNN reported inside the building that early returns looked “very good.”
As he departed minutes later in a black SUV, CNN cameras captured detractors shouting, “You’re so boring!”
