Use the dropdown menus to filter county turnouts by demographics. Strongholds are defined as counties where our polls show a candidate with more than 55 percent of support. Definitions of county income categories: High means the county’s average household income is more than $66,000; middle means the county’s average household income is between $57,000 and $66,000; low means the county’s average household income is less than $57,000. Definitions of county age categories: Older means the county’s average age is above 54; middle means the county’s average age is between 50 and 54; younger means the county’s average age is under 50. Incomes and ages appear clustered in the middle range because the counties from all seven of our states are distributed evenly among three brackets, with limited overall deviation from the average.
