Let me preface by saying I've always been somewhere to the left.

That said, I wish we could have an actual republican party again, instead of the tea party garbage mess it is now. I want to have legitimate opposition.

Basically, I want someone like pre-'08 McCain, rather than Palin, or least of all Donald Trump.

I want opposition. But i want sane opposition. The kind of person whose hand I'd shake, not the kind I would give a wide berth. To paraphrasef "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch": I want to be willing to touch my opponent with a 39 and a half foot pole. I would not get within 395 feet of Trump.
