Dear Manchester United Football Club,
Something deep rooted has taken place at our great club. The passion, desire, hunger we once witnessed has vanished into the air around Old Trafford. Players would give 110 per cent each week to that badge. From the greats of Keano, Neville, Vidic to the squad players like O'Shea, Silvestre, Butt. Each one was proud to wear the red of United no matter how much money was hitting their bank accounts each week.
Do you remember the days when we were losing 1-0 with 10 minutes to go and we still believed, still knew, that we would win the game! Not only did we know this but the opposition knew it, also. Teams would come to Old Trafford and be happy to leave with a bottle of wine and a 1-nil defeat. It cannot be down to the lose of the greatest manager of all time. It can't even be blamed on the appointment of his successor, nor the philosophical nonsense of our last manager. Something deeper has happened.
There comes a time in everyone's life when they have to take a good, long, hard look at themselves and ask the question, "What have I done?" Our team is no exception. Each player, staff member, board member, etc. needs to sit in one of our fancy conference halls and look at each other and ask a similar question, "What have we done to this great club?!"
No matter the results, no matter the silverware or not, us true fans will continue to go on supporting you. We will continue to be the greatest fans in the world. All that we ask in return is that you ask yourselves the above mentioned question and start to once again gain the passion/desire/hunger that left fear in the eyes of our opponents.
We are United (yes, a different looking one) and We Never Die!
Sincerely,
A True United Fan
