Dinesh D’Souza says in his new book that Barack Obama is an anti-colonialist. Stanley Kurtz has a new book, Radical-in-Chief, which says Obama is a socialist. The new book Dupes by Paul Kengor tells the unvarnished truth. And that’s because he makes use of material we started releasing back in February 0f 2008 about Obama’s communist mentor, Communist Party USA member Frank Marshall Davis. New Zeal blogger Trevor Loudon broke that story and we confirmed it.

I hate to say, “We told you so,” but Herbert Romerstein and I held a briefing in May of 2008 in Washington, D.C. releasing two reports, “Communism in Chicago and the Obama Connection,” and “Communism in Hawaii and the Obama Connection.”    Then, in August of 2008, I released the 600-page FBI file on Frank Marshall Davis. The response from the media included Dana Milbank of the Washington Post making fun of us and Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report refusing to run paid advertising on the Obama-Davis connection.

The liberal and conservative media had their heads in the sand. They couldn’t come to grips with the unprecedented prospect of a possible agent of influence for the international Marxist movement occupying the oval office.

Herb Romerstein is a veteran congressional researcher and patriot who was ridiculed by Milbank as a “relic” of the anti-communist period. Kengor dedicates his book to Romerstein, the author of numerous books on Soviet espionage operations, describing him as a human Cold War archive. Thank God we have patriots like Herbert Romerstein.

Paul Kengor says that conservatives were reluctant to face up to the truth about Obama because they didn’t want to be accused of “McCarthyism” for raising the issue of his communist connections.  The 600-page Kengor book includes the excerpts of the Davis FBI files that others have shied away from. Kengor, a professor at Grove City College, is not afraid to tackle the terrible truth. We need more like him in academia.

The difference between calling Obama an anti-colonialist, a socialist, or a Marxist mentored by a top operative of the CPUSA is that one category should immediately earn you an FBI investigation. Former FBI agent Max Noel says the Bureau used to investigate candidates for federal employment by analyzing Character, Associates, Reputation, and Loyalty to the United States. The first letters in those words make up the acronym CARL.

Obama could not have been elected president if he had been subjected to the CARL test.  Leaving Davis aside – and he was on the FBI’s “security index” —  Obama’s relationship with communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn was enough to disqualify him for the presidency. Photos of the Weather Underground bomb factory they abandoned in San Francisco in 1971 reveal these Cuban-trained terrorists were working on anti-personnel weapons, including stabbing devices, and had C-4 plastic explosive.

The big news today is that some of the people who have been supporting Obama from the start in Chicago are now under investigation by the FBI, suspected of providing support to foreign terrorist organizations in Latin America and the Middle East. This is a trail that could lead all the way to the White House.

Joe Iosbaker and Stephanie Weiner, who are husband and wife, had their homes and offices raided because of suspicions that they were providing support to foreign terrorist organizations. Both of them have been associated with the Marxist-Leninist Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) and the Chicago New Party that included Barack Obama.

FRSO is one of several U.S.-based communist groups affiliated with a global organization known as the International Communist Movement. Other American affiliates are the Communist Party USA, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the Progressive Labor Party, and the Workers World Party.

Since 1992, the International Communist Movement has sponsored the International Communist Seminar (ICS), organized every year in Brussels, Belgium, and which “gathers parties and organizations which defend Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism, and which oppose revisionism” About 150 organizations of Africa, Latin America, North America, Asia and Europe have participated in its sessions.

Despite what you hear or see from the major media, international communism is not dead.

The Van Jones Scandal

The hiring and firing of communist and 9/11 “truth” advocate Van Jones was another scandal that could have implicated Obama, but it was dropped when things became too close for comfort for the White House. A scandal that could have been bigger than Watergate was neatly avoided by throwing Van Jones under the bus.

We need to support the FBI’s investigations of U.S.-based Marxist groups. We cannot permit these investigations to be prematurely terminated, in the same way that the Russian spies with contacts in the Obama administration were ushered out of the U.S. less than two weeks after their arrests.

The difference between being supported by the CPUSA and just being against colonialism or supporting socialism is that the CPUSA was a pawn of Moscow that committed espionage against the United States. This is the party that supported the Hitler-Stalin Pact. Davis had denounced Richard Wright for “treason” for leaving and exposing the party.

This is why Obama covered up Frank’s identity. He knew that acknowledging the truth could destroy his political career. And it could still do so if the truth is examined.

The Cover-up

Obama decided not to say who Frank was. He could have named him, saying he was an old acquaintance picked as a mentor by his grandfather who had no effect on him. Instead, he acknowledged Frank’s influence but covered-up his full name, hoping nobody would notice and follow through. We did.

Some conservatives have belatedly discovered that Obama has socialist and anti-colonial views. But that is not even half the story. The most important part of the story remains to be investigated by the FBI and, hopefully, by a new House Internal Security Committee. Re-establishment of this committee will demonstrate that the new Congress means business and that it won’t resort to politics as usual and compromise.

All of this requires that the new Congress takes its responsibilities seriously, not only on fiscal issues, but on matters involving the national security and moral integrity of the United States. The liberals will raise a hue and cry, and some conservatives may balk, but it is mandatory and necessary to begin addressing what an old congressional committee used to call “un-American activities” at the highest levels of the U.S. Government.

Communists Behind the Curtain

The evidence is overwhelming. The media interest is zero. The UFO strategy is in force.

Let me explain.

I’m talking about the unsolved Weather Underground murder of San Francisco Police Officer Brian V. McDonnell. A bomb placed on Feb. 16, 1970 outside the Golden Gate Park police station ripped through Sgt. McDonnell, who died two days later. His killers never paid a price.

Apart from simple justice, here’s why this open case still matters. According to testimony by undercover FBI informant Larry Grathwohl, William Ayers was almost certainly involved. Ayers helped launch Obama’s political career in 1995 at his home in Chicago and served on two boards with him. Ayers told Grathwohl that Ayers’ wife, Bernardine Dohrn, planted the bomb. In 1971, the FBI found Ayers’ fingerprints and those of other Weather Underground terrorists in an apartment that had been a bomb-making factory.

Because of prosecutorial errors, Ayers went free, boasting, “Guilty as hell, free as a bird.” Dohrn remained underground until 1980, spent jail time for lesser charges, and then went on, like Ayers, to be a professor at a major college. Ayers was at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Dohrn is at Northwestern University.

On Oct. 21, Larry Grathwohl told his story at a seminar at the National Press Club sponsored by America’s Survival, Inc. Moderator Cliff Kincaid, who recently obtained a 601-page FBI file of Barack Obama’s communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis, unveiled a raft of speakers and evidence pointing to manipulation of American liberals by actual communist revolutionaries.

Among the speakers was New Zealand blogger and investigative reporter Trevor Loudon, who uncovered former “green jobs czar” Van Jones’ communist background, which led to Jones’ resignation in 2009. Jones is now back at the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress.

I spoke as well, reporting on the FBI file on Harry Hay, a Communist Party member off and on from 1934 to 1948 and a founder of the Mattachine Society, an early homosexual activist group. Hay also co-founded the Radical Faeries and championed the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). Hay was cited as an “inspiration” by longtime homosexual activist Kevin Jennings, whom Obama appointed as the nation’s “safe schools czar” at the U.S. Department of Education.

Another speaker was Paul Kengor, best-selling author of a new book, Dupes: How America’s Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century. Dr. Kengor has the goods on numerous leftists, including the Hollywood Ten, who became famous during the McCarthy era. Four of them, according to FBI files, actually had Communist Party cards with membership numbers. It might be good to recall this the next time you see the media describe them as the “famed Hollywood Ten.”

The evidence is so obvious that communists infiltrated many liberal causes and unions and that the liberal media have looked away while crying “McCarthyism.” I call this the UFO strategy. Even if you actually saw a UFO, you’d be considered, uh, crazy. What’s different here is that the communist influence on America’s Left is no delusion. It is thoroughly documented.

Ayers and Dohrn

On Oct. 23, Kincaid, with a video camera, confronted both Ayers and Dohrn at an environmentalist event in Washington, D.C.

Kincaid: “Why did your husband tell [undercover FBI agent] Larry Grathwohl that you planted the bomb?”

Dohrn: “That is so stupid.” She went on to deny involvement.

Kincaid then asked Ayers about the dedication to radicals in the 1974 manifesto Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism that included Sirhan Sirhan, the assassin of Robert F. Kennedy. Signed by Ayers, Dohrn, Jeff Jones, and Celia Sojourn, the manifesto says, “We are communist men and women, underground in the United States for more than four years … The only path to the final defeat of imperialism and the building of socialism is revolutionary war … Without armed struggle there can be no victory.”

Kincaid: “Mr. Ayers, if you’re anti-war, why did you dedicate your book to the assassin of the leading anti-war candidate in the country?”

Ayers: “You’re delusional.” He walked away while others blocked the camera.

In an onstage presentation, Dohrn addressed the charges in a pamphlet that Kincaid had circulated. She said, “We live in a time of greater polarization, of hate speech and hate talk. … We were never terrorists. It’s all crap.” That flatly contradicts a New York Times interview published on Sept. 11, 2001, in which an unrepentant Ayers said, “I don’t regret setting bombs” and “I feel we didn’t do enough.”

Dohrn also misrepresented what she and Ayers were doing in the 1970s — aiding and abetting communism: “We were trying to stop the murderous assault that for 10 years killed three million people in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and U.S. service people. It was the right thing to do.”

In his Oct. 21 presentation, former FBI informant Grathwohl noted that no anti-war literature was found in the Weather Underground bomb factory, just communist booklets urging violent revolution.

In any event, the anti-war movement was instrumental in the U.S. pullout in 1975, leaving Cambodia at the mercy of Khmer Rouge dictator Pol Pot, who killed more than two million of his countrymen. For Dohrn to claim that she and Ayers were merely peaceniks when they were in fact agitating for a communist victory is a lie worthy of the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell’s novel 1984.

This all should be very hot stuff, given Ayers’ and Dohrn’s long association with Barack Obama and their continuing activism, which includes, according to Kincaid, recent visits to Hugo Chávez’s Venezuela and with radicals in Gaza. But the press is silent. They have spent far more time, personnel, and treasure searching Sarah Palin’s garbage cans.

On May 22, 2008, Kincaid held a seminar unveiling evidence about Frank Marshall Davis and his eight years influencing a young Barack Obama in Hawaii. Among the speakers was Herb Romerstein, the dean of researchers on communism, whose work has spanned six decades. The Big Media skipped it, except for the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank, who ignored the facts and viciously ridiculed the gathering, calling Romerstein “a living relic.” Milbank likened the event to a “UFO convention.”

The UFO strategy. It’s very handy against a mountain of inconvenient facts. But facts are stubborn things.

Editor’s Message

At his “Restoring Sanity” rally in Washington, D.C., on the eve of the elections, comic Jon Stewart of the Daily Show on Comedy Central staged a fake debate with Stephen Colbert. Stewart introduced former basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as a Muslim (“Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is Muslim.”) who didn’t scare anybody except for other basketball players. “We’re all on the same team,” Abdul-Jabbar proclaimed.

This effort to minimize the Muslim threat was offensive, coming as it did just hours after explosive packages had been mailed to Jewish synagogues in the U.S. and intercepted before they could injure, kill, and destroy. Other deadly packages were discovered as well.

In his arrogance and condescension, Stewart cannot fathom that Americans understand that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is not scary. But we also know that Muslims are behind most of the terrorism targeting America, and that Muslim countries are facilitating these attacks. Except for one brief and esoteric comment to the effect that there are things that we have reason to fear in life, Stewart pretended that the threat didn’t exist. He failed to deliver the sanity he promised. We won’t get clear thinking on this or any other issue from a comedian with a TV show.

Comic Jon Stewart is Obama’s Tool

In a column appearing before election day, AIM editor Cliff Kincaid commented on the nature and significance of Jon Stewart’s October 30 “Restore Sanity” rally in Washington, D.C. He said, “It was obviously an effort by liberals and ‘progressives’ to do something – anything – to counter the conservative revival in the country, as reflected in such events as Glenn Beck’s massive 8/28 rally in Washington, D.C. Of course, this helps explain why there was so much more media interest in the Stewart rally than the Beck rally. The Stewart rally was a political agenda sold and advertised as a joke. The liberal media got the joke and sympathized with the agenda.

“This was a last ditch effort just before the election to rally the base for Obama, without saying so in explicit terms. Even Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, a close friend of Obama, had endorsed the event, perceiving that it was in fact a counter to the Beck and Tea Party rallies that had truly rocked Washington, D.C. with their astounding numbers of participants.”

Liberal Washington Post columnist Robert McCartney saw through it. He wrote, “Jon Stewart can pretend all he wants that the point of his big rally Saturday was just for chuckles, or just to encourage a more reasonable, substantive and civil tone in American politics. The reality is that his own audience on the Mall had an additional agenda, and it was decidedly partisan and decidedly liberal.” McCartney interviewed many rally participants.

Pollster Celinda Lake reported that an overwhelming majority of the people (86 percent) who rallied with Stewart and his sidekick Stephen Colbert were “likely to vote Democratic” in the elections but only one-in-four was more enthusiastic about voting this year compared to 2008.

“We live in hard times, not end times,” Stewart said at his rally, as if he understood the gravity of the situation and others did not.  This remark, clearly directed at religious people who believe America is at a crossroads and that God’s help is required to save the country from a combination of secular and spiritual forces, demonstrated Stewart’s commitment to politics as usual. He was a tool of President Obama.
