Actually two Republican friends.

For context, I am in Central Pennsylvania. The first is a suburban mom. She and all of her suburban mom friends are crossing the line and voting Hillary. In fact, they are voting against the local US House candidate specifically because of his enthusiastic support of Trump. This was a solid R seat that is in danger for them. Partially this is due to the fantastic candidacy of Christina Hartman, who is a rising Dem star.

The second person I talked to is a local Republican township commissioner. He said that he and his fellow commissioners, who always work the polls will not this year because of Trump. Every year I see them out there. They are good people and I happily vote for them for their commissioner jobs. They are all appalled by him and they are staying home (they'll vote, some for Hillary, others for Johnson or a writein).

So the key here is that Trump literally has no GOTV effort. In states where the difference is 1-2%, that will be all the difference.
