After digesting the great posts on this subreddit for many months, I couldn't help recalling this older clip from High Plains Drifter. So consistent with everything I've read here about women wanting what they simply can't express and shaming men for it. While I don't condone sexual assault in any form, this scene is emblematic of the cognitive dissonance in many (all?) women and how men struggle with decoding in female nature what should be simple. I watched this when I was a teenager but it took me until now to see the true insight and subtext of this scene.
