Seriously. If someone were to offer pizza for sex, is this in anyway illegal?

What if multiple people were to offer?

If this is illegal, why, anf what are the consequences?

Would it be considered prostitution?

Yes, it would generally be considered prostitution. If prostitution is illegal in the jurisdiction in question, it would be illegal. Wikipedia definition:

"Prostitution is the business or practice of engaging in sexual relations or sex acts in exchange for payment[1][2] or some other benefit."

Pizza is a benefit.

I think if it is a large pizza, definitely prostitution. A medium is in a grey area. A small pizza, just a favor.

By definition, most relationships are prostitution. However, the law is rather gray in this area since money was not exchanged. We can all rationalize that pizza was bought with money and having sex for pizza isn't that different than for money. Yet woman and men have sex for resources all the time and its not illegal. I suspect the law will take issue with this if money was directly exchanged and a direct reason for sex. Pizza in this case, I would not consider an issue.

Indeed but its not far fetched to extend your logic to the dating scene. Woman seeks man who has money = prostitute? You're correct but where is the line drawn or are all females who date/marry for resources prostitutes?

Not far fetched in terms of a pedantic, literal interpretation for the law, or not far fetched for a court to actual decide anything resembling dating is actually prostitution?

Bright lines are few and far between in law, and yet the system navigates that just fine for the most part.

Nope. No no. Sex in direct exchange for drugs. Or. two people engaging in consensual relations with mutual affection. The two people building trust and love. Building friendship and a life together. No. dating is not prostitution. Unless you are literally dating a woman who only exchanges sex for the pure reason that you bought her a meal.
