I went to the Hillary rally in Phoenix last night. Impressive turnout, I gotta say. 20,000 people, and then when they hit maximum capacity and people just started piling around the fence to listen. Not bad for a Wednesday night, last minute rally in a traditionally red state.
Well, of course some Trump supports came around to protest. Initially they were fine. Across the street and silently holding signs. Then they started circling the field she was to talk in. Again, no big deal. Right to peaceful assembly and all that jazz. Well, when she actually started talking they took a spot near us at the end of the crowd. Every five minutes or so they would yell at the top of their lungs "lock her up" for a solid 30 seconds or so. It completely drowned out Hillary and was clearly pissing everyone off. I came to watch to future POTUS give a speech, not drunken frat boys yell. Luckily after 20 minutes or so they police kicked them out.
Seriously, I'm all for peaceful protests. But they were just being disruptive. Funnily enough, they only had about two dozen people. A much larger protest with at least a hundred was also there, protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline.
