For you "old school" subscribers of /r/The_Donald, we have a special treat for you.

There are 5 days left until the election, and looking back on the long and winding road it has been here on Reddit, a lot of us have gotten a bit nostalgic.

This DOMREDDIT has been through so much. We have seen a variety of mod regimes. We have collectively watched this userbase grow from just a couple of hundred baby shitposters during the infancy of Trump campaign to over a quarter of a million centipedes STRONG. We have continued to dominate /all so hard that the admins had to write a special algorithm to chain us back from overpowering their main page day after day after day!

If you've been here a while, you may remember /r/The_Donald's fracturing back in May which ultimately formed the subreddit known as /r/Mr_Trump. It was a relatively small community (only ever reaching just over 20K subscribers) but for a lot of centipedes, it was a second home.

In July, the two communities decided to join forces once again (we were stronger together than divided) and /r/Mr_Trump became frozen in time. A lot of the mods who were over at Mr_Trump are now here over at The_Donald, including yours truly.

So... starting tonight this is your chance to once again shitpost over at /r/Mr_Trump before we all elect our GOD EMPEROR DONALD J. TRUMP on November 8th!

Understand that being apart of a movement is far more important then compliance. It was an odd time during the election process too. Like a dull/lull in the action. That was BY FAR when I was least active. I would check in 1-2 times a week compared to what USED to be 10 times a day.
There was some Mod drama too. We were still finding out way.
But what I will remember isn't that; what I will remember will be typing r/The_ and seeing the DONALD pop up on my browser and feeling a sense of hope. A sense of pride. An eager excitement of the shitposting fun that I was about to participate in.
So yeah, it was a weird time. At first we were like the angry toddlers reaching up at the table to grab the adults attention about the wildfire in the backyard and no one would pay us attention. Then all of a sudden it was like we were a teenager who had just learned to drive.
We had people, talent, resources, information, the best of the best all found there way to their new home. Right here. And it happened in the blink of an eye.
We grew so fast. We were still finding our identity as a community and people were pouring in at rapid rates.
We were taking Bernie refugees and making tougher trade deals with Hillary shills.
We built a wall of security to protect us from the corrupt and bias reddit admins who were fucking with us and manipulating our sub at every term.
We battled CTR cucks the entire way and very quickly learned how to point them out and purge them from our little safe haven The_Donald.
Not only did they have to write a special algorithm to hold us back, they also had to intervene in our private affairs (like trumps tax's) and come to OUR place to constantly downvote brigade and post non-sense in /new.
However, we never let this teeter us from our ultimate goal. Unlike Hillary supporters over at /r/HillaryForPrision, here at The_Donald our goal wasn't just to win. It was to Make America Great Again.
And I shit you not, the people here cared. They truly cared about our country, about each other, about our rights and freedom, about making the sub great, about supporting Trump and we truly cared about our nation's future.
And it was inspiring to be apart of. It has made me a better man.
See we have one thing that the other guys lack, and that is passion.
We have something to believe in.
We have something pure.
Something real.
We have Trump.
That's President Trump, to you. (Get used to saying that)

Honestly being attacked by CTR & the like on twitter or anywhere is shocking if you're a newbie....I never knew about The_Donald, until recently but would have joined months ago had I known.

I think what people have done here is nothing short of astonishing. The influence on this most important of elections of nerds and geeks everywhere, from behind the screens has known no bounds!
