About this project
Hi, I'm Levi
I am a storyteller––I tell stories through videos and products with purpose to create an emotional connection with people.
On the video side, I have worked with exciting brands like Pepsi, Jordan, Budweiser, Nike, Adidas, and many others.
A few years ago I started a jewelry company called becomb, where I designed the Infinity Piece––a “watch” without a clock. The piece symbolizes our connection with time and how to make it mean the most every single day. The Infinity Piece has been seen on Jennifer Lopez, Blake Griffin, and featured in Inked and VIBE magazine.
The Motto
The Motto is the latest and most comprehensively designed iteration of the Infinity Piece becomb series. With no markers or movement to keep track of, the Motto is intended to remind people to live in the moment while redefining the idea of being on time.
The Motto will come with its signature black stingray band, yellow gold plated stainless steel case, and feature a dial engraved with the brand mantra “when you’re dedicated to what you love, time becomes irrelevant.” 100 pieces of an alternate band color are also available in a white stingray band.
Functionality
The Motto is equipped with ideas that are helpful to the mind, body, and soul.
In a society that is is obsessed by new technologies, often at the expense of the most important things in life, Motto is a symbol. It hopes to remind you to talk with your family instead of staring at your phone at the dinner table. It hopes to remind you to enjoy live concerts, instead of viewing them through Snapchat filters. It hopes to remind you to get lost in what you’re doing and stop keeping track of the time.
Manufacturing
The Motto was designed in California, and will be tooled for sampling, production, and packaging in China. Once our order is completed, the items will be shipped to Los Angeles for fulfillment.
Funding
There are several steps involved in creating a product then getting it into the hands of our amazing backers. The funds raised through this campaign will primarily cover the costs of production, the hiring of a freelance designer, tooling to create a new mold for the product, the sampling process, custom packaging, shipping, customs, and operations management.
Community
We want people who are as dedicated to what they love as we are. People like you! Nothing would make us happier as this point in our journey to add new like-minded supporters to our group of creators and lovers.
Team
We are a crew of like-minded thinkers from Southern California who believe that utilizing creativity by making something unique has the power to affect the masses. The mutual appreciation for one idea brought us together and we have continued to focus on spreading its wings since 2012.
Risks and challenges
In the past, we have found that running into delays is sometimes inevitable due to Chinese New Year hiatus (January), miscommunication with the factory, lag time getting through customs and other unexpected occurrences.
One major advantage to backing our campaign is that we have been able to build a dependable infrastructure to secure quality production and on time delivery for our project! If any problems were to arise, we will deliver the news to you in a timely fashion and make sure to provide you with our quality care.
