Some Trump forum somewhere is claiming that the GoFundMe campaign for the #hopewellbaptistchurch is a Trump-led effort. This is not true.

While the campaign has now raised over $115,000 (!!), I have no idea how many donors are Trump supporters, or how much $$$ came from them.

I will say that there are many self-identified Trump supporters donating. Most say the church arson does not represent them and are sincere.

As I told a reporter tonight, I’d guess that like the NC GOP field office arson, this was the work of a crazy unhinged wacko. Nothing more.

What’s important is that both sides are able to unequivocally condemn violence in our politics. This sort of thing just cannot happen here.

The HRC and Trump camps may not like/trust each other, but the folks donating today at least agree on that much. Small favors.
