Tactics wasn't the issue tonight. We had poor performances from both fullbacks, we had a makeshift CB pairing that wasn't good enough, one of our most creative players on the night went off injured, and overall our players looked lethargic and as if they didn't care.

Jose did well tonight with his starting 11, and did well with his substitutions (Mata/Mkhi).

All over the pitch mate. The team don't look like they know when to make runs, close down, sit back and counter, shoot, make the right pass etc... We have no recognisable playing style.

It seems like we do not have a consistent game plan at all. Liverpool have their gegenpressing and City have their possession game. We have, um, counter-attacking?

Sure, when we have to play against strong teams, we have a game plan that we can execute, which is a good thing but against weaker teams, what is it? Is it individual brilliance which is what LVG relied on? Is it hoof-ball to Ibra?

I still believe the players are still adapting to Mourinho's style of play (whatever it may be, we displayed it against Stoke and Burnley at times).

As many other people pointed out, we have too many players that like to get the ball from deep and bring it up (innefectively). Additionally, the one player who could arguably run in behind the defensive line is Rashford but at the time he isn't getting played as a striker.

Yes, Ibra is a luxury that this team cant afford to cover for.

It's not tactics its simple down to the lack of quality we have in the squad and the general imbalanced nature of it

We didn't spend or develop the squad adequately enough during SAF's last 2-3 seasons and somehow the club convinced themselves that they could spend their way out of harms way

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that

We have some quality players though, we've had an imbalanced squad for years and only post SAF have they been pointed out

its our players being easily baited. they were easily riled up which was what fenerbache wanted as it wasted time and made our players less concentrated
