Well its certainly not to just throw on random attacking players with zero structure and hope it works. We have absolutely no structure in our attack, and we were playing with one center mid four players who all want to play the number ten.

That's not where the problem was. The problem was right from the start when we seemed to play with the narrowest front 3 I have ever seen. It was like Martial and Rashford were allergic to the touchline.

    Been really underwhelmed with Mou tactically. Bar the Liverpool game he has made some errors (Chelsea, Watford prime examples), doesn't seem to know what his best XI or formation is. Tonight we persisted in playing centrally which was congested as hell instead of exploiting the width.

    When we go a goal down it's like our team loses all hope. Attack is static, key players are playing dogshite, defence has gone to shit for some reason.

      Me neither, but we at least have a semblance of what the problem is, the players look a) disjointed tactically and b) unmotivated physically, our press was nonexistent as it has been a few times. Both of which are Mourinhos problems. The talent is in that squad.

      We're just so slow and plodding in our buildup, every single time we let the opposition form two banks of four by aimlessly passing it around. Transitions are like watching the Titanic slowly sink. It's hard to watch.

      A start would be getting proper wingers. Martial and Rashford are both strikers so they naturally drift towards the middle.

      Mata is a #10 so his tendency is to move inside as well.

      We certainly need to move the ball faster from when it leaves our CBs and always need to have an attempt at the end.
      There is some benefit from giving these poor teams possession, the worst thing you can do is let them settle into their defensive comfort zones. Then you need an early goal to break it, or your attack needs to be perfectly on point and currently we aren't.

                      Fenerbache are 8 points off 1st in the fucking Turkish league, they are a genuinely shite team yet we they completely outplayed us. Can't blame the team for the goals conceded and obviously Rooney's goal was outstanding but to be honest the rest of the performance was genuinely dogshit. No width, no creativity, no cohesion, no penetration, no organisation, nothing. We have some great wide players yet we didn't even seem to try to isolate them against the Fenerbache full backs, just 90 minutes of playing in front of the opposition. We have such a bizarre lack of any cohesive plan, both offensively and defensively. Barely created a chance against fucking Martin Skrtel and co. Really pathetic performance

                        People are wrong for turning on Mourinho if they want change at this club, yes he is having to adapt to a new solution but in no way has he 'lost it'. However, these results are just not good enough, he needs to look at his perceived starting 11 and think about changing personnel and/or tactics.

                        Defence is about the same.

                        Strikers aren't making runs behind the defence.

                        Apart from Mata no one is working out as #10, and even he would get eaten alive against high-pressing teams like Liverpool.

                        Team doesn't have the mental strength to come back from behind either.

                        I'm not sure what's the problem. There's enough really good players for every position.

                        No one better than Mourinho is available, and while he did fuck some things up so far, I don't think he's the problem either.

                        I don’t know how we’re going to fix this to be honest. If it wasn’t for the unfortunate goal in the 1st minute maybe Fenerbahce wouldn’t have defended so well and things may have gone differently. Good goal from Rooney in the end but I am quite disappointed he miscontrolled that chance from Martial.

                        Bailly injured, Pogba injured, Valencia injured, Herrera not available for Swansea. Everyone else underperforming. I want Rashford to play up top on his own and give Ibra a rest. Rooney hasn’t done enough for me for him to get back in the starting line up even with that goal.

                        I think the early goal really took a huge chunk of confidence out of us. Their fans were rocking and did their job, I was absolutely pissed off just hearing them whistle the whole fucking match.                         Jose strangles the attacking life of his teams, he looks grumpy and has no clue, his team selections are off and seemingly at random.

                        That last 10 minutes showed that if we attacked we would have battered them, but he makes the team so utterly defensive but he uses attackers to do that defending. So not only are the attackers wasted but they aren't actually good at defending, so we end up letting in goals and not scoring.

LVG for all his faults atleast we knew what he was trying to do but with Jose I can't see what he's trying to do.                         Shaw and Blind were awful tonight. Zlatan is playing at CM almost every game at this point, it's exactly what we were all screaming about last season when Rooney was doing it while being our only striker. Worst of all, Zlatan stands around way too much. No movement. Doesn't create any havoc. Why Martial or Rashford aren't given the chance at striker at this point is beyond me.

                        Lack of width is a big problem. If we rely on our fullbacks exclusively for providing width going forward, it might actually be better to go with three at the back.
                        It's too easy to defend against our attacks because they're all so narrow. Everything is in front of the defenders.
                        We had the same issue under LvG for two years.
