No. Not for Hillary, but for control of the Senate then the Supreme Court.

About a dozen reports I've been reading say that Comey is mindful of the Republican controlled congress who controls the FBI budget.

So are the timely and multiple efforts of his agency affecting the race for control of the Senate?

THE POLLS SAY THE ANSWER IS YES.

One last thing.

If it turns out that there's nothing from Hillary / nothing new on this laptop, and that he knew that immediately (by pressing "CTRL-F" on the emails and searching for anything from Hillary but finding nothing), ...but held back that critical information with the BS excuse that he wanted to wait for "all the evidence" to come in, then this country is looking at a coordinated and blatant attempt to influence the election by the leading police agency.

Which is beyond troubling.

And I predict, if it turns out there are no emails sent to that laptop from Hillary, that's exactly the fuck what's going on.

And I can't help but believe that's the case, because if they found any emails from Hillary on that computer, their seemingly out-of-control agents would have already leaked that information.

We already know that's the case. Huma told the campaign that the only reason emails would be on that laptop is if she forwarded them there to print after she was unable to print from her regular email, which means they'd have been saved multiple times on the server as having been received and forwarded. The odds of these not being duplicates are almost non-existent.

I completely agree with your logic.

Comey needs to go. He either has terrible judgement, a horrible sense of American politics, a complete understanding of the consequences of what he did, or a ridiculous blind spot.

No matter what the justification, he's made an irreparable inexcusable decision that diminishes the FBI and our democracy.

Comey needs to go.

Probably not. Invoke Occam's Razor on this one, and add a dash of Keystone Kops.

The FBI has most likely been politicized by Comey to act in the interest of the Republican party. The current thought is Comey's underlings want to charge Hillary with criminal misconduct over the e-mail server idiocy, but there wasn't any clear prosecutorial case. Comey tried to appease them with the absolutely unprecedented press conference critical of Hillary but letting her of the hook for criminal misconduct. Fast-forward to last week, Trump is tanking, Hillary is surging, the Comey's FBI literally makes up a story that they found 'possibly new' Hillary e-mails on Anthony Weiner's laptop, when in fact they didn't know what was there, and then Comey sent a letter to sleazebag Jason Chaffetz (but not Hillary's committee until later) announcing their made-up 'discovery' bullshit. Chaffetz gets going the loudest possible screaming of the 'Crooked Hillary' mantra to tank Hillary's lead, and stop the Democrats from getting a majority of seats in the Senate.

Then two days ago, apparently because of some oppo reveals and because Hillary is hitting back at the FBI with some success, the FBI 'leaks' 10-year old investigation documents on Bill Clinton on a website that has been inactive for a year.

This isn't some attempt the help Hillary, the FBI is infested with Republican ideologues who are breaking the law and need to be expunged/prosecuted.
