Because they believe in feels over reals. Sure, Clinton's past few days haven't been good, but the Electoral College still greatly favors her, and unlike Trump, she has a real GOTV operation.

I'm glad they believe they are winning, it's for the best.

Republicans are always sure they are winning even when they are losing. Democrats are always afraid they are losing even when they are winning.

Maybe someone can help me out with the source of that.
