It looks like he finalised things with United today. It is expected he will be announced tomorrow if all the details get worked out at Wigan. It was a day off for them tomorrow and they're all in, so it sounds like something is about to happen.

I'll be wearing a black armband at work tomorrow. I'm fuckin' wounded. I just hope United are sensible in replacing him and find someone with a similar trait of pure work and graft. He will do Wigan proud, but it's such a loss to this academy.

Giggs is turning down manager roles left and right, so there's no way he'll accept. Especially when he was told we'd basically do anything (bar asst. manager) to keep him in the summer.

But it would be a role that would do him a ton of good.

It's a great move for him - massive loss for us, though.

Does anyone know why he's making the move? Just interested in trying management at the highest level of a club, or is there "reportedly" something more?

Hearing absolutely nothing. But there's got to be frustrations about United's U23 side this season, being forced to operate with 8 defenders, 2 midfielders and no forward in almost every game.
