One common sentiment in this subreddit I think is that you guys tend to generalize.
Alright, just imagine yourself being born into a family Tofu business in Akina in 1995.
For your entire childhood, you are fed myths like "if you can keep the water from spilling, you won't damage the Tofu" like millions of Tofu shop couriers. Also, you grew up relatively poor, which you, like millions of Tofu shop couriers blamed on the family business being a Tofu shop. Overall, your childhood sucked because you grew up into a place of strict rules and single father.
Then, suddenly a man comes up and promises to change everything. He promises to show you driving can be fun. Of course in doing so, he also feeds you plenty of lies (he didn't accept a challenge on your behalf without talking to you first e.g). Remember, the media at the time isn't like now. You basically think what your asshole freind tells. Would you have joined him? Like maybe two other dudes did at the time in great numbers? Remember, the Akina SpeedStars had over maybe 10 people serving in all terms. You cannot call 10 people evil. That is pure generalization.
My point is that one cannot generalize the Akina SpeedStars as inherently "evil" because it was joined by ten people. We know from human nature that people tend to join organizations that to them seem "right" and possess the moral high ground. By calling the Akina SpeedStars evil, you are calling illegal street racers evil.
