(KUTV) The Democratic Coalition Against Trump is taking action against Rep. Jason Chaffetz by filing an ethics complaint, according to a press release from the commission.

They filed the complaint against Chaffetz Monday morning with the Office of Congressional Ethics. The compliant regards his role in releasing information from FBI director James Comey about Hilary Clinton's email investigation.

“Representative Chaffetz, in an ill-planned partisan attempt, released information that compromised the integrity of the FBI, when he irresponsibly tweeted out that the case investigating Secretary Clinton’s emails had been reopened, when in fact it had not been. Members of Congress are elected to make our country a safer, better place -- not to use their power to work with leaders such as Comey in a partisan fashion,” said Scott Dworkin, Senior Advisor to the Democratic Coalition Against Trump.

The coalition had already filed a complaint against Comey with the Department of Justice. They are asking for a "swift investigation."

The Democratic Coalition Against Trump is a grassroots coalition aimed at making sure that Donald Trump never becomes President, according to their statement.
