Being the third and final act, there's always going to be one last moment of near-defeat for the hero, where it seems like the villain may finally have the upper hand. But we've been groomed for this story since childhood. Hillary Potter is down, but not out...Lord Drumpfemort stands over her, gloating, his army of whiny racist minions stand behind him cheering and taunting.

But we know how this story ends. The villain has one last surprise in store for him, his final defeat. He just doesn't know it yet. Friday's going to be a good day for us, folks.

I appreciate the sentiment, but life isn't a movie. This is not the final act, the story isn't ending. We may win this battle against Trump, but this election has shown America it's own hideous underbelly. This is a fight that will likely continue for generations.

To keep the Harry Potter analogy going, in the future we must remember the words that will help prevent another fascist frim rising and threatening our republic: Constant Vigilance.
