Honestly, I'd only consider Dortmund close to us in terms of young squads and their world class potential.

First team:

Luke Shaw - 21

Eric Bailly - 22

Timothy Fosu-Mensah - 18

Paul Pogba - 23

Jesse Lingard - 23

Marcus Rashford - 18 19 today

Anthony Martial - 20

Memphis Depay - 22

David De Gea (young for a keeper.. probably 5 years away from being in his prime) - 25

Exciting players out on loan:

Andreas Pereira - 20

Adnan Januzaj - 21

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson - 19

Exciting players in our youth set up (to name a few):

Axel Tuanzebe

RoShaun Williams

Joe Riley

Regan Poole

Angel Gomes!

There are probably a few others in this list that I am forgetting, but my point is that our young squad is so good already, just imagine these players in 5-10 years. We are on the brink of having one of the best teams in the world if our young players live up to their potential within a few years. It's so exciting, and frankly I'm very happy to see this generation of our youth getting integrated in our team.

I´m mindblown over the fact Martial is 20 years old. I sure knew he is 20, but after last season I have been thinking about in the same agebracket as Mata and Herrera.

I will probably get shot down for this, but potential is only a part of the picture. I remember these discussions 5/6 years ago whilst talking about players like Cleverly, the da silva twins, Chicharito, Welbeck, Jones, Anderson, Morrison & Pogba. 10 years ago it was Fletcher, Gibson, Evans, Richardson, Pique, Rossi, Possebon.

You hear the same noises about our youth players with every generation that comes through. We have a lot of talent there is no question and its exciting to watch them grow and develop but living up to that potential is the hard part.
