This isn't relevant to anything current, so don't upvote it. I just can't deal with posting this in an /r/politics comments section and getting a stupid response right now.
People are talking about the number of e-mails deleted again because of Comey, as if that's in any way relevant to the case they're trying to make against Clinton.
I have 11,589 e-mails in my Gmail right now. None of them are related to my job. I'm an unmarried guy with no kids, I don't work in a highly public government job that exposes me to a lot of people I'd want to keep up relationships with. I was never a U.S. Senator or First Lady of the United States.
Clinton claimed in a Tuesday news conference that among the e-mails she deleted from her private account were the typical fare about planning her daughter’s wedding, family vacations, and her “yoga routines.”
This narrative that Trump spun about her saying all "33,000" were about a wedding and yoga classes is ridiculous and incorrect. Taking the high number and repeating it doesn't make it a good argument. It's completely plausible that many of the e-mails were personal correspondence, Facebook notifications, and a whole bunch of other unimportant stuff that isn't incriminating.
Is there a possibility that there were incriminating materials, and there was a cover-up? Sure, it's technically possible, but you have to be able to prove it. Saying "33,000" over and over again doesn't prove it, or even make a compelling argument for it. Comey couldn't prove it, Trump can't prove it, and dumbass internet detectives can't either.
If you're going to come at a political figure with some conspiracy shit, at least come up with a narrative that can't be picked apart so easily. Conspiracy theories used to be way cooler. What do you think those tin foil hats were for?
