Fuck Trump, fuck Pence, fuck every last person who's voting for a groping, misogynistic, racist, homophobic, climate change denying piece of shit. 44.5% of the popular vote! AND RISING! How can people be this stupid?! Even if he loses, ALMOST HALF OF AMERICA BELIEVES THIS MAN WOULD BE A GREAT PRESIDENT!!!

Then every single media outlet goes and whips up this email scandal literally 8 days from the election. Now Hillary is dropping in the polls as if everyone forgot about the last 3 months of the election. What is wrong with this shit.

I know a few people who are voting for Trump but only because of how much they dislike Hillary. I've never met someone who thinks Trump would be a great (or even good) president -- they just think he's the lesser of two evils.

I think it began when Roger Ailes realized you can grow and keep large swaths of people (customers) using very simple marketing techniques.

  1. Grab peoples attention with flashy headlines: Breaking!!! Scandal!!, etc.

  2. Lure them in with a sense of being special snowflakes, "you're only going to get this news here folks"

  3. Keep them by telling them over and over again that this is the only place they can trust for real news. Beware our competition.

This is so successful that the Muslim hating audience never realized that one of the largest shareholders in Newscorp is a wealthy Saudi Prince who surely thanks Allah twice a day in prayer for the gullibility of the masses. It seems to have gotten out of hand however and now it's being taken over by more radical ideas of people who have no idea the fragility of democracy and that 240 years is a drop in the bucket as civilizations go.

Trump voter here. Clearly half of the country has never said he'd be a great president, any more than half of Hillary's voters have said she'd make a great president. I, and apparently many people don't believe the charges of misogyny, racism, or homophobia as these have never been charged in his life in the spotlight until this race, and they're the same charges leveled at every republican candidate and voter.

Most Republicans voted against Trump in the primaries, and most would still rather have another candidate, as I'm sure many Dems would prefer another candidate to Hillary. However, in my and many other's opinion Hillary would due irreparable damage to the country that Trump will not (you know all the issues already). Believe if you want that it's because we're racist and misogynistic, but that just isn't the case. I'm voting for what I feel is best for the country, which is Donald Trump.

This may come across as a lazy reponse, but I urge you to check out the final response megathread. Trump is cut from a racist cloth in a way that's atypical nowadays for candidates from either party.

If you seriously believe that Hillary would do more damage, I'm sorry to say that you might be too far gone to save. For comparison's sake, however, note the state of the economy under her predecessor, with whom she largely shares an agenda (save for TPP and a Syrian no-fly zone). We're fine after eight years of Obama, and Hillary's offering much of the same.
