What Is Being Done About The Alt-Right? (self.EnoughTrumpSpam)

I am not sure where to post this, because there are not a lot of subreddits on Reddit with sufficient subscribers like this one dedicated to combating fascism.

I see a lot of action being taken by politicians against global warming, Islamic fascism, Christian terrorism, antibiotic resistance, cyberterrorism, etc. But no politician seems to be active in eradicating the ideology that will inevitably draw in many more people to the growing alt-right movement.

Please do not argue that it is just a few "immature teens". That is what worries me the most. If the alt-right is just a bunch of teens, then they will one day grow up to vote, and influence elections. They will teach their kids what to think, and create a major problem for people like me, who the alt-right is intent on eradicating or at least deporting to some penal colony, at least according to what I have read. Their subreddits have tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of subscribers, and their hashtags get a similar number of tweets.

If they can turn an entire generation into fascists, will their kids rebel against them and turn the tide back? Or is there no stopping it, and should I be packing my bags and getting ready to apply for asylum in the safest non-white nation I can find.

It's smaller than it may seem, but it is a concern for many. The SPLC has been working to draw attention to them.

how it will be combated will be decided november 9th. after the election, depending on how it goes, politics will restructure in this country. if trump loses i suspect there will be a civil war within the republican party(empire strikes back?). i guess you will have to wait and see.

dont worry, the question you are posing is not lost on us. we will have to wait and see how things restructure, and react accordingly.

in the meantime, all we can do is work as hard as we can to stop that man, and build and strengthen coalitions.

I think it's about to unravel. Trump may be the worst thing to ever happen to them. Before, they were just faceless internet edgelords, existing only in the cesspools of the internet, free from true public scrutiny. Now they have a face, and it's orange, bloated, and pouty. They've taken on all of Trump's baggage and they've thrust themselves in the spotlight at the same time. They chose such an overbearing, ridiculous clown as their mascot that it can be used against them for years. There's more than enough ammunition against them for a true backlash now, made all that much easier by how generally overbearing they are.
