Not to type cast (as I now type cast multiple groups) but depending on their background, Middle Easterners tend to be more reserved and private, which could appear to be standoffish or cold as well. Plus, they're at a gun range, surrounded usually by country boys or red neck fellows, white guys who like guns and other stuff, so they may just feel awkward and like they stand out. Maybe ask them about their guns, get to know em? They probably know where the good middle Eastern food in town is, and that's worth a convo in and of itself.

I'd be reserved and private too, if everyone I met assumed I was plotting a terror attack.

The two guys were black. Not gun happy rednecks. Again it wasn't the fact they were foreign that put him on edge. It was the manner. Something was off. I'm a huge believer in following your gut instinct. Not in presuming and being judgmental. This struck me as odd so I'm sharing.

That's all fair and I agree it's important to trust your instincts. I just don't understand why he didn't call the police if he was so worried.

I got all over him. This is something to be looked into. But I don't want to look like a raving racist. I'm trying to swallow the red pill I swear.

Why come here, instead of asking your local police?

Good question. I asked him why he didn't get the tag. He said where they were parked at the end was by themselves and it would have been obvious. He just wanted his kids to be safe. I didn't see it myself. I plan to tell someone I know who is tight with a few SLED guys. I don't want any attention on myself. Seriously. I am a 50 year old woman in a good position and making waves is bad. I mean...doesn't it sound like I'm raving? I'm not your Trump touting redneck.

He will look for them again.

the "ones" that you see shooting in public ranges like that aren't the "ones" you need to worry about ....

there's retreat type compounds that are full up for weekend training & practicing - all hands off & gooberment protected currently

That is logical. And I like thinking it's just a misunderstanding.

Yes, undoubtedly something sinister is being planned even as we speak. Whether what your doctor friend saw is related to anything sinister is anybody's guess.

Just a thought: if I saw something that gave me a really bad feeling, I'd call the police and have them come get the plate number and determine what investigation needed to be done. I wouldn't fail to report it to the authorities, then go blabbing all over town about it to people who can't do a damn thing about it.

I'm not really sure what you're asking or wanting from this thread, but it sounds like it could very well be a perception issue... or it could be some sinister incident. Without knowing more about the individuals in question, all we have is speculation. It could be just some Middle Eastern men who are asocial, because they're tired of being perceived as terrorists and just want to enjoy some casual shooting. It could be some guys planning to shoot up the town. I just don't know.

if you see it report it , is this not the official recommendation ? you definitely dont want to end up like the woman who saw the guy who shot up the night club doing weird stuff and said nothing .
